Why can't we have stress buttons?

Random thought I had the other day, really in a modern day world we should have stress buttons that will tell us when we're about to go over the edge and make sure that we have a nice calm evening. Yes okay I know I'm weird but this is me we're talking about here. Let's get on with the update

Monday - spent some of my time doing uni work, sleeping and going to work, pretty uneventful day really.

Tuesday - much the same, bar I got closer to finishing my work

Wednesday - Finished my treatment and then mooched around feeling quite good with myself till mam started going through the bloody thing and I ended up not feeling great cause there were so many mistakes and I had spent so long on it. Work didn't help to put me in a better mood either so I wasn't that happy at all. But I did stay up till 3 in the morning watching GITS: Innocence and wow. The first film is a masterpiece, that just takes it to a whole new level. It's unbelievable not only in terms of the first-rate graphics and georgious artwork but the questioning storyline that advances upon the ideas set down by earlier science-fiction writers. Yes I know I'm a media student but that's one film that deserves that level of watching and apprication - it's definately one of my favourites and I can't wait to see if the rumours true that he's going to make a third to explain what happened to the Major.

Thursday - I took some time away from uni work, getting sorted out with buying some goggles and other things too and taking the dog for a nice long walk. Mucked about a bit but still felt a little wound up but then saw the Blockheads. Oh my god it was just a great night and something that really did cheer me up no end. For those of you who don't know who the Blockheads are I'll say to you 'Hit Me With Your Rhyum Stick' and 'Sex 'n' Drugs 'n' Rock'n'Roll' and you should get an idea. Yes I know Ian Dury's dead too but the band is still going and they're cool, if you get a chance go and see them.

Friday - Got a lie in and cleaned up the house, doing the little bit of work that mum had gone through on the treatment for the editing side of things and then mooched around waiting for her to go through the rest of it but they went out and by the time they got back I had already started doing it myself. Didn't mind actually cause once I was finished I felt really good and had a nice quiet night off. No kendo so I'll probably get my arse whooped for that one but meh I needed it cause I was't feeling that well at all. Flipping luck I get stressed out and my bodies defense systems go down meaning I get a snivelly cold which is a pain! But meh.

Saturday - work was okay, fairly evenly plodding along and only a couple of idiots which is quite surprising for a saturday but I was feeling good so I was probably cheering up the customers by being happy. though I did get one strange call where a customers asked 'Is there a difference between a mobile and a landline?'... I kid not. It's the first time I've heard that one but it happened. Came home after trying to wrangle some guy off the phone for ten minuets and watched Star Trek First Contact which was the first twelve I saw. Hehe I can still clearly remember seeing that film with my big blue raincoat zippered up and my wooley dut pulled down over my head as I was only ten at the time. lol go on have a laugh I don't care. And I saw the latest episode of Battlestar too and OMG! I love that series, proper serious sci-fi with more twists than ever and just way too many things going on. I'm totally hooked and adore it.

Sunday - Got a really long lie in, I think my parents are letting me cause they aren't that bothered by the fact I'm sleeping in a lot lately. Helped out in the garden with mum in preparation for the film shoot sometime in Feb - looking at the last week hopefully - which was okay glad it wasn't freezing cold though. Then watched Ed Wood which is a Tim Burton film with Johnny Depp in and I really enjoyed it. One of those ones you can watch time and time again and still be mesmurised by it all. It definately does not feel like a two hour lone movie, it's just really great, told brilliantly and with such love and care it's unreal. Just finished getting an engine up on E-bay for dad so going to prat about online now and enjoy myself ^_^

Long Week

Well this week has been productive and feels like a hell of a lot longer than what it normally should do. Strange that but I suppose it's just with everything that's been happening.

Monday - fairly ordinary day, organised my last piece of coursework into managable chunks and went along with the first bits with little problem which I was happy with. Mam was back at work so that was a bit strange but I coped okay and got on with life. Sat and watched some TV before going to work which was pretty cool and nothing bad there. Ordinary plain day.

Tuesday - I wasn't exactly in the best of moods, not angry or anything just fidgety and feeling down in the dumps. I did a little bit of uni work and pratically mooched the rest of the time which didn't help me too much. Work was horrible as I was stuck in moaners call cque all night but it made me feel a little better and after being attacked on Gaia by a lot of people I felt even better.

Wednesday - threw my uni work plan totally out of the window and got on with my characters section and got them all done in a day. Worked out that I had been down because I wasn't working to my normal happy rates and was stressing a little and didn't have as much time with Mam as I had gotten accustemed to. Strange I know but it's the way I work. I perked up a lot and felt better, work was okay so I got through that pretty well.

Thursday - felt really good and tackled my appilication forms for Uni's in London and got all the long writy bits covered and most of the portfoilo work printed off and sorted out. Then got to watch telly, jig about like an idiot and have a bit of a laugh before going swimming for an adult only session. I forgot just how much I enjoyed swimming and will be going back to keep my general fitness up. Need some goggles but I managed twenty-lengths which was good considering I haven't been in a while.

Friday - tidied up the house when I got up as usual, whilst listening to that bloody Naruto CD. I keep listening to it and know I should stop but I like it too much which is slightly annoying. Then did the conflicts section of the treament and did some more work on the portfolio stuff I need to send off with the appilication forms. Then took some time off to enjoy myself and got everything sorted for kendo. It was a really fun session and what was cool was that my mam came to watch - as I was going to the Carriage afterwards and wanted a drink - and according to Garry - Mark's Dad - she was fasinated by all of it. I got a few good bouts and even managed to beat Mick which I was pleased about. Going to send off my application for the grading this next week otherwise I won't get it, I've been busy working on other things in my defense though. Then we went to the Carriage and even though that place is expensive it is fantastic and a real treat. I recommend we go there. Pratically fell straight asleep when I got home.

Saturday - work as usual which was busy so spent the whole day explaining to customers why their bill was so high. Boring routine but hey it pays. I did get a few customers who were over the moon with me and were so happy that I had dealt with their problems with little problem though so that cheered me up no end and I just seemed to be on a really good high since Kendo that even the little upstart customers who were younger than me and pretending to know better got a right telling off as well as a sorting out but in such a way that they would not have known that I had just told them to stop being a right little brat and listen to what I'm saying. Came home and got to see Battlestar Galatica, meaning that I'm back into the series and I just totally love it. Serious Sci-fi with a great cast, cool effects and an amazing DOP/Art Director. I'm hooked and can keep up with this one as they repeat it on a Thursday and a Saturday. WHOOT!

Sunday - slept in and got up for the RPG group. It was mainly a meeting today to just go and sort out characters for the Ravenloft campaign so I'm going to try and invest in a couple of books around that as well as the Forgetten Realms - when I find my proper DnD book too cause that's gone walk abouts again and I want to know where the hell it is. Came back and somehow ended up helping Dad fix a handle to the garage door and then walked the dog, watched the American Scrapheap Challenge and came online to book part of Mam's birthday present which is a trip to Liden Hall on Feb 25th. Her other one should be in the post so I'm looking forward to getting that and she should enjoy it. Now going to play on Gaia and wait for tea to be ready.

Happy Happy Joy Joy

Random title but I can't really think of another way to sum up the week. I've got a lot of stuff done and dusted and I'm just in one of those Ryu-really-happy-modes for no apparent reason.

Anyway week breakdown as follows

Monday: Got up a little later than I was planning and went to hand in my Theory Work. Caught up with a few peeps from the course, handed it in and then came home. Sorted out a couple of quick things and then did a character monolog for Dome. Then had something to eat, took dog for a walk and went to work. Got stuck in the semi-complaining Moaning Monday lot but nothing too bad.

Tuesday: Up with plenty of time to spare and went into Uni to hand in my Media Marketing and Quadruple modual stuff. Some of the others were asking what they needed to do for the Business plan and I'm kinda going 'you haven't done it yet?'. The hand in date was that day but it was later, I just got it in cause I had it done and wasn't going to wait around till two that afternoon to do so. Went home and did another monologe and downloaded the sheets for applying to the London Universities. Had something to eat and went to work where I got stuck in the rather crazy and messed up call cque which was wierd as hell.

Wednesday: Did not have to get up which was a good thing so slept in till just after twelve and then got up, got another monologue out of the way and then mooched around until work where we got a little availablitiy which was really great and it was an okay night.

Thursday: I slept in again but did manage to fill out most of the stuff needed for the application forms. Some parts I'm going to need help on cause they're a lot of writing inovlved and I'm not really looking forward to that sort of thing. Also need to find out what each of the now five uni's want as a portfolio of work as well. So that's going to take up some of my time. Then went to Cosco's with parents as I needed to get some printer cartiages and discovered that they don't stock them anymore. But got to mooch around the book/cd/dvd section for a bit which I always like doing in that shop, bought dinner and then came home, watched a film, went online and went to bed.

Friday: Was up fairly reasonably, got the upstairs cleaned in less than three-quatres of an hour which is pretty good going for me, could be due to the fact that I actually did a good tidying job on my room on wednesday before going to work. Then spent most of the afternoon getting the rest of my uni work done so that now all I have to do is to write up the information from the sequences and monolog's into a more novel like format and then that's done and I can hand it in on the 29th. Then had a spot to eat and watched the news. Then went to kendo. Oh ho that was such a fun session, had Mick teaching us so it was a slightly easier break back into it after several weeks off - generally the club closes for winter - and even though my shoulder muscles were complaining afterwards I felt so good and alive. It was definately worth it and I'm so glad to be back. Had a good couple of bouts with Andrew and Mark managed to hurt my toe as both of us went forward at the same time and our right feet collided which was semi-owie. Shout out to Kallers, when are you coming back to kendo? It'll probably do you a hell of a lot of good and get rid of ten ton of your stress too. Came back, chatted on to parents, went online and then went to sleep.

Saturday: Got up and sorted and went to work as per usual. It was surprisingly quiet which was a good thing as it meant I was able to get my To Do List done and also a rough version of my new DnD character for a campaign that's starting sometime soon. I say rough version even though it's four pages long, though that's mainly because I'm writing in my best handwriting and leaving spaces between things too. Came back, chatted to parents and then they went out for the night so Ahmed came over and we had a anime watching night. We got through Fruites Basket 1-2, Gantz 1-4, Final Fantasy Advent Children and Naruto 1-2 so a pretty good night. And we both agree that Gantz is a series that you really can't watch on your own without getting totally freaked out unless you are a total psycho freak who likes that sort of thing. Getting the next discs though cause it's well cool.

Sunday: Slept in but was up pretty reasonably and had some breakfast, walked the dog and gathered my stuff together. Went to RPG session and after we sorted out the rps that were going on at the club and other such things we started the session. It was DnD with Mohini and it was a lot of fun with us being able to kill off a number of different things and long really loose a lot of hit points on Kord who we fixed and the psyic one but both were okay. We ended up in a mysterious land where we have no idea where we are and then we're leaving it there for the time being as Dave wants a breather from it. Came home after upping my character to level 9 and enjoyed a nice bath and some tea. Now going to prat about online and see what's going on.

Parents: Are fine and dandy, back on healthy living and I'm with them. May start swimming on a Thursday night with mam again I don't know but we'll see.

Sweep: Is the same as ever, appears to be a lot happier and hyper recently which is great news and no nasty lumps on the back of her legs.

Right, I'm off now ^_^

A Week of Getting up

Heh every day this week I've been getting up for some reason or other and I'm not back at uni yet. Am tomorrow for hand ins and stuff but still it's weird.

Monday I was up cause Gran was over

Tuesday I was up as it was my Dad's birthday and we were going out and about

Wednesday I was up because we were getting my camcorda ^_^ My parents told me they were waiting till the sales so I was happy

Thursday I was up as we were taking Sweep to the beach for her brithday and she's now twelve years old

Friday I was up to initally clean the house but then we ended up going out and doing shopping and some other stuff which meant the house did not get cleaned

Saturday I was up for work

And today, Sunday, I get a lie in for the first time and end up waking up at 13:36. My rp group starts at 2pm. So I was a little late but it didn't matter anyway so that was fun.

Good quote from said session.

Character gets a pair of dualling pistols and is very happy with them. Get into a battle and rolls a 86 on the dice which is great. Fires and they go click. "Oh shit, I forgot to load them"

we were in hysterics about it and so far I'm married to Baz and we've got Ian as a lodger. Don't ask it's complicated. ^_^

Add on.

Just sent off enquriy e-mails to four uni's in London (one in the area)

So I may end up going to:
Goldsmiths
Swansea
Central School of Speech and Drama
Westminster

Should be fun. Now to wait for replies.

Aanvangs

Blame Dash for the title, it's Dutch for Beginnings, as he sent me a Dutch Dictoronary for Christmas which arrived the other day and had me giggling madly.

Anyway, I need to get an update done.

So lets see I spent three nights on the trout out and having drinks which was fun. Spent Friday at the Brockwell with the usual lot and chatted on about random stuff there but had to leave reasonably early due to work. Then on Saturday I was out at Kelly's for her 21st birthday which was a lot of fun and I'll have to get the Taboo Game for next year cause it is a lot of fun. Then was at Waynes for New Year and had fun playing on Singstar and Guess the Intro or whatever it was called. Had a few drinks and stayed out till two, mainly cause I was talking to Mark and Mike about Dr.Who for fourty plus minuets.

New Year was fantastic fun. We all went outside into the blowing winds, released the massive party poppers and sang the first verse and corus of Old Lang Zine at the top of our voices and then gave up on the rest even though we had said we were going to do the full thing. Then Wayne was an idiot and was first foot through the door when it was supposed to be Mark so that was a laugh.

Plus something funny about Dr. Who which I never actually thought of. In the last two episodes of the second series when the Darleks and Cybermen are having a slagging match with each other, when the darlek said 'The Darleks do not need to identify themselves' Mike and Mark both thought 'Don't tell him Pike' and when you think about it it does work.

New Years day wa spent with Gran again, sitting watching the telly but I did get to see The Sarah Jane Adventures which looks to be quite funny if childish sci-fi. The series is going to be on CBBC which is also a slightly good thing.

Went out for a run yesterday for dad's birthday and still waiting on the DVD arriving for him. Luckily me and mum were out on the 31st to buy him other things which was all well and good. Then went to the cinema and saw Night at the Museum. I would recommend to go and see it as even though its slow to start it's just mindless fun where you don't need to think about anything and can have just a good laught at. Buy it cheap though when it comes out on DVD.

Today I've been mooching and paying off the visa bill and doing a little uni work for the big project.

As for resoultions I haven't got any, mainly due to the fact that last year I said I wasnt going to make anymore of them so I'm not going to.

I've got a couple of goals though.

Goals for 07
Get to London for my Masters Degree
Write a chapter a month for FITS
Have a load of fun
Organise a big away trip for everyone when I get to London (either Alton Towers or similar)

So that's that. going to start applying for Master Degress now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

As stated in my title, happy new year all.

Will do a proper update sometime soon
