Why can't we have stress buttons?
Random thought I had the other day, really in a modern day world we should have stress buttons that will tell us when we're about to go over the edge and make sure that we have a nice calm evening. Yes okay I know I'm weird but this is me we're talking about here. Let's get on with the update
Monday - spent some of my time doing uni work, sleeping and going to work, pretty uneventful day really.
Tuesday - much the same, bar I got closer to finishing my work
Wednesday - Finished my treatment and then mooched around feeling quite good with myself till mam started going through the bloody thing and I ended up not feeling great cause there were so many mistakes and I had spent so long on it. Work didn't help to put me in a better mood either so I wasn't that happy at all. But I did stay up till 3 in the morning watching GITS: Innocence and wow. The first film is a masterpiece, that just takes it to a whole new level. It's unbelievable not only in terms of the first-rate graphics and georgious artwork but the questioning storyline that advances upon the ideas set down by earlier science-fiction writers. Yes I know I'm a media student but that's one film that deserves that level of watching and apprication - it's definately one of my favourites and I can't wait to see if the rumours true that he's going to make a third to explain what happened to the Major.
Thursday - I took some time away from uni work, getting sorted out with buying some goggles and other things too and taking the dog for a nice long walk. Mucked about a bit but still felt a little wound up but then saw the Blockheads. Oh my god it was just a great night and something that really did cheer me up no end. For those of you who don't know who the Blockheads are I'll say to you 'Hit Me With Your Rhyum Stick' and 'Sex 'n' Drugs 'n' Rock'n'Roll' and you should get an idea. Yes I know Ian Dury's dead too but the band is still going and they're cool, if you get a chance go and see them.
Friday - Got a lie in and cleaned up the house, doing the little bit of work that mum had gone through on the treatment for the editing side of things and then mooched around waiting for her to go through the rest of it but they went out and by the time they got back I had already started doing it myself. Didn't mind actually cause once I was finished I felt really good and had a nice quiet night off. No kendo so I'll probably get my arse whooped for that one but meh I needed it cause I was't feeling that well at all. Flipping luck I get stressed out and my bodies defense systems go down meaning I get a snivelly cold which is a pain! But meh.
Saturday - work was okay, fairly evenly plodding along and only a couple of idiots which is quite surprising for a saturday but I was feeling good so I was probably cheering up the customers by being happy. though I did get one strange call where a customers asked 'Is there a difference between a mobile and a landline?'... I kid not. It's the first time I've heard that one but it happened. Came home after trying to wrangle some guy off the phone for ten minuets and watched Star Trek First Contact which was the first twelve I saw. Hehe I can still clearly remember seeing that film with my big blue raincoat zippered up and my wooley dut pulled down over my head as I was only ten at the time. lol go on have a laugh I don't care. And I saw the latest episode of Battlestar too and OMG! I love that series, proper serious sci-fi with more twists than ever and just way too many things going on. I'm totally hooked and adore it.
Sunday - Got a really long lie in, I think my parents are letting me cause they aren't that bothered by the fact I'm sleeping in a lot lately. Helped out in the garden with mum in preparation for the film shoot sometime in Feb - looking at the last week hopefully - which was okay glad it wasn't freezing cold though. Then watched Ed Wood which is a Tim Burton film with Johnny Depp in and I really enjoyed it. One of those ones you can watch time and time again and still be mesmurised by it all. It definately does not feel like a two hour lone movie, it's just really great, told brilliantly and with such love and care it's unreal. Just finished getting an engine up on E-bay for dad so going to prat about online now and enjoy myself ^_^
