Great, Crud, Great
Describing my last two weekends and the week. It's been a right old fashioned nightmare but I'm grouping things together to make them slightly easier to work out and go through.
Kendo - biggest thing was obviously that I did pass my grading last week so now I'm offically an ikkqu grade which is really good. Me and Dad did not kill each other and only just got a little lost cause of Glaswgo's stupid one way system and directions that forgot to mention how many sets of lights there were before the turning we needed. Still I had a bloody good time and really enjoyed myself, even got to face Honda-sensei which was great and now have a lovely certificate to prove I did it. On friday I went to kendo as normal and ended up facing against Darren, Barry and Dennis for the whole night as they were the only ones who turned up. But it was well worth it and I'm definately happy with the way things are going.
Uni - not been the best thing this last week. I've had two casting sessions for BoBs which have gone reasonable but a bit naff so things are still going crazy but we may get this thing filmed by the end of this month. Dome's was put on hold after I had a tutorial and found that I had over written it so I've got to lob off a eighteen pages so I was a little on the down-side about that. Then came a bloody big blow which was my results for first semester. They were no where near what I wanted and really through me into a downer, it seriously wasn't nice and it only added to my problems. I've consequently done very little uni work this last week but only to clear my system and try to have some enjoyment. Luckily my parents have sorted that out and I've got a plan should things go no where what I want.
Work - another thing that has been getting me down but only for trivial things like asat which I'm in for training for when I'm above the target and it was just rubbing me the wrong way at the start of the week, customers were fine just the company was being a pain.
Cheer-up - I've had things to cheer me up though. I've gotten the Cats soundtrack CD - currently listening to and it's the original version which is cool - and two audio books of Soul Music and The Hogfather which I'm looking forward to listening to. Mum took me clothes shopping for Easter and I got a load of new gear which was really cool and Dad got me a brand new stereo-system for easter so we got that all installed and sorted out which is cool to. So Ryu-chan's feeling a lot better
Mothers day - been good. Got mam a load of pot plants which she loved and a bottle of plonk. Had breakfast and went to the Customs House for dinner and saw The Last King of Scotland. Wow. All I can say about that film is that I came out of it feeling the exact same as when I saw Syrina. It is a film to see before you die.
Films - number of films over the last week. Ghost Rider is good, on about the same level as Gone in Sixty Seconds and good fun. The ulitmate scene is the bike and the house with the re-mix of 'Ghost Rider' (the song). It's just brilliant. Also watched Ghosts on Mars, a low budget Aussie sci-fi/horror with Ice T in it. Quite good, not a Pitch Black but something interesting to watch. Also watched Ladies In Lavendar for the first time and it's okay, just they drag the story on for too long and try to make it last the whole ninty minuets when they would have probably been better making it seventy to eighty minuets long. But heh. And the previous film mentioned.
