Great, Crud, Great

Describing my last two weekends and the week. It's been a right old fashioned nightmare but I'm grouping things together to make them slightly easier to work out and go through.

Kendo - biggest thing was obviously that I did pass my grading last week so now I'm offically an ikkqu grade which is really good. Me and Dad did not kill each other and only just got a little lost cause of Glaswgo's stupid one way system and directions that forgot to mention how many sets of lights there were before the turning we needed. Still I had a bloody good time and really enjoyed myself, even got to face Honda-sensei which was great and now have a lovely certificate to prove I did it. On friday I went to kendo as normal and ended up facing against Darren, Barry and Dennis for the whole night as they were the only ones who turned up. But it was well worth it and I'm definately happy with the way things are going.

Uni - not been the best thing this last week. I've had two casting sessions for BoBs which have gone reasonable but a bit naff so things are still going crazy but we may get this thing filmed by the end of this month. Dome's was put on hold after I had a tutorial and found that I had over written it so I've got to lob off a eighteen pages so I was a little on the down-side about that. Then came a bloody big blow which was my results for first semester. They were no where near what I wanted and really through me into a downer, it seriously wasn't nice and it only added to my problems. I've consequently done very little uni work this last week but only to clear my system and try to have some enjoyment. Luckily my parents have sorted that out and I've got a plan should things go no where what I want.

Work - another thing that has been getting me down but only for trivial things like asat which I'm in for training for when I'm above the target and it was just rubbing me the wrong way at the start of the week, customers were fine just the company was being a pain.

Cheer-up - I've had things to cheer me up though. I've gotten the Cats soundtrack CD - currently listening to and it's the original version which is cool - and two audio books of Soul Music and The Hogfather which I'm looking forward to listening to. Mum took me clothes shopping for Easter and I got a load of new gear which was really cool and Dad got me a brand new stereo-system for easter so we got that all installed and sorted out which is cool to. So Ryu-chan's feeling a lot better

Mothers day - been good. Got mam a load of pot plants which she loved and a bottle of plonk. Had breakfast and went to the Customs House for dinner and saw The Last King of Scotland. Wow. All I can say about that film is that I came out of it feeling the exact same as when I saw Syrina. It is a film to see before you die.

Films - number of films over the last week. Ghost Rider is good, on about the same level as Gone in Sixty Seconds and good fun. The ulitmate scene is the bike and the house with the re-mix of 'Ghost Rider' (the song). It's just brilliant. Also watched Ghosts on Mars, a low budget Aussie sci-fi/horror with Ice T in it. Quite good, not a Pitch Black but something interesting to watch. Also watched Ladies In Lavendar for the first time and it's okay, just they drag the story on for too long and try to make it last the whole ninty minuets when they would have probably been better making it seventy to eighty minuets long. But heh. And the previous film mentioned.

Feb through to March

Yes, I've been ages on the update but I've been stupidly busy of late and finding time to do this proved to be a bit of a nightmare. Anyway, I've been making notes so that's all good and enjoy. Also I'm in the process of copying LOTRs for Andy so this may take a while.

Three Weeks ago

Monday - went into Uni for tutorial with Peter and went through the plot for Dome which was good and all I had to do was tidy up a couple of things in the treatement then I could get on with writing the script. Spent the rest of the day thinking about stuff and work was pretty normal and okay.

Tuesday - went in or Ideas lecture and after some hassel with Photography - which I'll save you the normal rant on - we found a room and spent our time sitting around a table and putting our work into a modern day context. Let's see Dome = global warming, humans being idiots and political stance. Great fun. Work pretty much the same

Wednesday - spent most of it totally uninspired but did try to get bits and pieces done but not too much. Work was the same as ever, not a particually excitingi day

Thursday - did the edits to the treatment and got on with a couple other things. Got ready to go out to the theartre when Gran called to say she had broken her insulin pen. So considering we're supposed to be leaving in less than an hours time, it's a small fiasco which results in me having to drive up to the Doctors to find that the whole place is closed up, no sign of anyone, I hover around to see if some bright spark is going to come to the front door, call mum to tell her at 6:25 that there's no one there, go home and discover that the doctors called gran to say I had not turned up. I was flipping standing at the door which was locked and there was no one there. To say I was a bit peeved at that was an understatment but then they sent out the district nurse to give her the bloody stuff. Why couldn't they have just done that in the first place! Still we get out and reach the theatre. Go and see 'Blood Brothers' which is still an amazing show and it was the Mickey from the London performance. The start was a bit iffy but the second act really got things going and I was still crying at the end. There again anyone who doesn't cry at that show is a heartless villian who has no idea. Absoluetly loved it and will see it time and time again.

Friday - usual routine with the house and sorting things out. Went to Kendo and had a good session which was a nice thing and then spent about fourty-five minuets outside talking to Jo as per usual too.

Saturday - normal work and night of watching the usual telly.

Sunday - Pamper day with Mum at Linden Hall. It was an okay day bar the hall was catering to the 'wannabe' rich which was annoying and really quite tacky, it had obviously been renervated and just looked totally wrong. The facilities were the best either and what we weren't told was that the pool could be used by the other hotel visitors. I know that sounds daft but we're there for a pamper day which is meant to be nice and relaxing but when you get about five snotty bratty kids running around, yelling, screaming and jumping into the pool with 'Daddy' and his mate playing with them and then the nanny-turned-girlfriend sitting on the side taking photographs and being ever so polite and not controlling them it's bloody annoying. Particually when me and mum were sitting happily reacing our books and the kids jump into the pool directly in front of us causing a big splash. Me and mum must have had the exact same glare on our face cause the 'Daddy' told them to calm down. What was even more funny was the fact that later on we had another set of kids come in who were really canny, just contently playing in the pool, having a bit of fun but not being annoying in the slightest. Also the fact that I did not like the silver service aspect at all where the Matradee came and placed your napkin on your lap, constantly hovered around and was a bit on the creepy side really didn't help. The massarge I had was fine though bar the fact that the girl flicked my shoulder blade and sent my back into some slight discomfort but I really did enjoy the facial we had as that was completely heavenly. If you're going to go anywhere for something like that I recommend going to the one near Edinburough cause it's a lot nicer.

Last Week

Monday - lazy arsed day with not much done. Work okay

Tuesday - started work on Dome but not totally inspired, got the first couple of scenes wrote though which was a good thing. Work was a bit hetic for no apparent reason but that's work for you.

Wednesday - ton of work done on Dome which I was happy about as it meant I was underway with the writing of it. Work I had a few wingers but they weren't too bad, nothing serious to report anyway.

Thursday - got a fair bit more of Dome done and then went over to Si's to talk about BoB - the script that is being turned into a film - which basically turned into an hour and a half session going over the characters names, a new intro scene, adding extra dialoge and the possiblity it's going to be filmed sometime the end of March. Date still pending but we're getting there with that.

Friday - got up, walked dog, tided up the house and worked on Dome again to get the section finished because I was beginning to run out of time. Ironed my kendo gear and went to kendo. Okay session if a little on the teary side cause my stress and nerve levels were a bit high, no where near as bad as last time though which is a good thing. Stayed and talked to Jo once again and felt better.

Saturday - work was fun which sounds bonkers I know but it shot by really fast and there was little problems. Finished writing down the idea I had come up with but couldn't think of a new one but it didn't matter to much. Came home, chatted to parents, watched Aliens and forgot how good a movie that one actually was and then went online for ages.

Sunday - got up dead early for me on a saturday, cleaned the cars - so Jess was all nice and shiney now she's almost back to normal - got changed and went out to the Customs house. Told ya we were making it our second home. Had a really nice dinner and then saw Arthur and the Invisibles. Yes it's a kiddies movie but it was a really nice film that wasn't exactly your stereotypical kids fantasy. the CGI is amazing and it's a nice sunday afternoon buy it cheep DVD . Davd Bowie is really good in it, as is Madonna, Snoop Dog and all the rest who appear in it. The record bit is really good too. Came home and worked on Dome again and then had pizza which was cool. Caught the back end of I,Robot and then began writing notes for Blog update.

This week

Monday - Finished Dome which I was highly pleased about and had to go in for a guidence tutorial with RJ which lasted all of two minuets. I'm pretty much sorted on what I'm doing so it's no big problem and I can just go with the flow on it. I then came home, re-ironed my Kendo stuff and went to the session at Chilli Road first school. Why I hear you ask, cause I'm going for my Ikkqu grade this weekend and I needed pratice on the Kata I've got to do. It was a real fun session - when I found the place cause parents gave me slightly wrong directions - and I managed to score with all the lads there - exlcuding Jo and John Kelso who I've met before - and it was nice to be in a situation where the club wasn't focused on Shai because most of them were below me on the experience schale. It was a real fun experience and I will look forward to going back there if I get the chance.

Tuesday - I was up early and out of the house to get to Uni. Get in with plenty of time to spare for my lecture start and then Peter tells me Noel's called in sick so it's cancelled. So I come home, print off Dome for mum to proof read for me, do the re-write of BoBs, send that off to Si and Mark, record The Hobbit for Andy (a friend of the families) and back up the downloaded eps of Death Note (for myself and Ahmed) and then watch a couple of eps. After that I work on Choices script and get that finished, go downstairs, take the dog for a walk and realise it's only three o'clock so I have plenty of time left before I go to work. Spend the time watching TV and having a laugh and then get to work for an okay night but the final call as a crazy Russian who thought that it was increbibly funny that after the first fourteen days you could not return the contract. Don't ask me why but bless him, he was really canny even though I overshot on the finishing time because of him.

Wednesday - I got up after a small lie in, took the dog for a walk and then edited Dome cause mum had read it and really enjoyed it which was a good thing, just a few spelling mistakes to deal with which wasn't too bad and then I re-printed it off and took it - along with Choices - to Peter's house and drop it off. Came home and spent the rest of the day watching TV, thinking of turning the Dome into a series of seperate books, taking the dog for a walk, polishing downstairs and getting changed to go to work. Head to go to work and find out that the road leading up to the Hotel in the retail park has been closed by police so have to go onto the A19 to get around. OMG I have never known that road so busy. Just for once accident the whole of that roundabout was completely snarled up so I ended up being late but I called Liz - supervisor - to tell her that I was going to be late so that was all right. Plus I waited until we were totally stationary before I made the call so that the cops couldn't tell me off for it. I wasn't the only one effected anyway as everyone who started at 6 didn't get in till afterwards due to the traffic. Work was a doddle as it was as dead as a doornail and the customers were fine. I even had one who was over the moon and wished he had dealt with me before as compared to the others I was really helpful. That made me feel good. Came home and went to bed early for me.

Thurday/today - slept in really late today but hell I needed it. Took the dog for a walk and watched a bit of telly before coming upstairs to start recording LOTRs for Andy and update my blog. Got to pack my bag for the weekend and also continue to chill out cause that's all I want to do today.

Hope you enjoyed. Cya all later

((P.S I'll send text messages out to inform peeps how I did on the grading))

*chases tumbelweed*

You can chase it all you want, Ryu's not going to get an update done for a while yet.

I'm aiming for Thursday though and have notes so expect something then.
