Feeling better and escaping from tidying mam

Well, I is feeling much better now. Seems like the infection has gone down (jinx touch wood) and it's just at that annoying stage where it's not quite ready to bugger off yet. At long bloody last!

Well, over the last couple of days I've been watching films, calling work again as I'm still off and sorting through some of my old artwork and making pieces of it concept for certain things.

Called Baka-chan earlier today and chattered on to her for about 30-45 minuets which was kinda fun. Caught up on a lot of stuff and just ranted about daft things ^_^ Can't wait till she comes home next week *bounces like an idiot*

Attempted to call Kal-chan to tell her I was better - don't ask me why but I think I said I would call once I was feeling better so I did try K-chan.

Looks like I am going to be having at least two Christmas Cosplay parties - mainly dep on when Kamo and Ha chan are off home cause I know for definate that baka's coming home on the 17th and I think that's the day they're both off home. Still I will know asap and sort it all out.

I'm aiming to get it at least sorted by Novemeber so that I can organise things around work, Uni, Christmas/Birthday shopping and anything else that randomly flies in my direction.

Also need to give Kamo and Ha a kick about the Anime Society we're supposed to be starting.

On sweet duty tonight - if anyone comes around - and going back to uni tomorrow to try and get things sorted out.

I'm slightly stuck for cosplay ideas - bit of a problem with having short hair but I will previal. I think an Image search is coming on ^_^ Hell it gives me an excuse to go into a second hand shop and buy the stuff to make the costumes with

Still not very well

Seh seh still not very well...and I still don't know if I've got the mumps or not. Waiting on the results of a blood test on friday which will tell me.

Still at least I warned you all via text message, this is not a nice thing to have at all. Believe me on that one.

Kal-chan came around yesterday and we chatted on for a little bit, just catching up on random stuff and her saying that the next outing she is going to try and not have four hours homework to do. Poor bairn *pets lovingly*

Not really sure what else I can say, been sleeping most of the time and watching movies and listening to part of Hitch Hikers Guide to the Glaxay.

Got to go and call the department office at uni and by the end of this I'm going to possibly need a sick note.

Gomen nasai if I pass this on to anyone.

Keep well you lot and I would get vaccinated cause by the looks of things our generatation missed the MMR jab but have everything else.

See you later - hopefully when I'm better

Not well...seh seh's ill

Well...found out that the bloody thing on the side of my face is either the mumps or a viral infection that is copying it which means that I'm off for the next few days to recover. This is going to be some sort of fun...

Still got ice cream to eat and just got to rest a bit.

Currently trying to keep my eyes open so I think I will go to bed and have an hours or so kip before trying to sort everything out with Uni and work.

Why do they have to make being ill such a hassel?

Running Around Like a Blue Arsed Fly! Chec

Well the last two days have been a little bit interesting...more like what the **** am I doing running around like this to be 100% honest.

Monday - got up, caught the bus to Uni, went through the seminar when everyone was knackard from the previous night (not exactly the best thing in the world to be when you're talking about the represenations of men and women in Film Noir - though get Juliette on the case ((another letucuer of mine)) and it's amazing what happens), then went to get photo taken for Bus Pass and found the one in the Union was not working so I had to go to the one in Eldon Square and get it taken there, after that was done went to the shop and got my bus pass - £50 it bloody well cost but as my parents have pointed out it means that I'm going to save about £20 straight away so that might just go on a anime DVD, came home, read some of my theory texts (still got to copy little bits of them) and went to work.

Today, got up, walked the dog, found that I've got something on the top part of my jaw line which is like a little lump that could be either A) My tonsil's flearing up again cause I still got them B) a Zist like thing that mam had a while ago or C) my wisdom teeth trying to grow in (bloody funny place to grow in if you ask me!) but mam's gonna have a look at it tonight and see if I need to go to the doctors about it (that's the great thing about having a mam whose a nurse - you can find out if something is wrong with you straight away and don't have as much of a faff on), talked to the DSA to re-book my driving test and I've got it set for November 27th so everyone can expect another cinema trip around then as per last time, then spoke to HR at work cause my pay had come through a little bit wrong - found out that hopefully next month once they sort out VCC (shift swap) and the call cques that I'll get the correct code appilied to my pay and then I'll get anything I'm owed back-dated (half of that is going straight on my bus pass and the other half might get spent of a DVD or something akin), got called by Ken - driving instructor - and he had an earlier space avaible for a lesson so I went early - wasn't exactly the best I've ever driven but I felt that it wasn't too bad considering the fact that I failed on sat and have to re-gain a little bit of confidence (though not that much) - came home, finally had something to eat, Dad played on with me for running around like a blue arsed fly so I playfully attacked him back, Sweep has been annoying us both cause she's bored and would've had a sound workshop later on today but the guy who does it - Dr De La something - has cancelled tonights so I get a little extra time to calm down before work.

God I've been way too busy recently.

Still I've had and am having fun - even though I complain about everything going - I guess it's just a little different and more challenging.

Went to see Resident Evil Nemisis on Sun with the others and it was alright - could have been a hell of a lot better but I suppose that it is meant to keep the US attention span cause it started off supense and creepy - like the games - and then went into action/adventure predictable why-are-you-walking-through-a-graveyard-with-a-virus-that-convientently-brings-dead-things-back-to-life? and why-did-you-break-up-the-group-and-let-the-divy-lass-go-off-alone-cause-she-is-going-to-get-eaten-by-the-child-zombies-haven't-you-ever-seen-a-hacker-and-slasher-movie?

Sorry I guess I just get a little bored with the same old tricks, the same old story lines and the same old character types that you can work out in the first five minuets who is going to survive and who ain't. There are expections I will grant that to people but I'm an old school horror fan and prefer the you-ain't-gonna-know-what's-happening-until-the-very-end and the oh-by-the-way-that-was-a-red-herring-I-dropped-in-to-take-you-off-the-scent-really-it's-him/her/this/that/or-the-other.

Okay I really need to stop writing like that but it's fun ^_^

Anyway - can't wait to write my own horror(s) cause I'm going to break most of the conventions and scare people - counting the fact that America don't get a hold of either of them and turn them into the teen horror genres - and I know that Chibi knows what I'm on about.

Chibi-chan - butchers knife behind the door hehehe

Still moving away from my obviously wierd obbession with scaring-the-living-daylights-out-of-my-friends I'm happy to say that I've got some concept artwork done for RN and FITS which I am really happy about.

Planning to do a few christmas fanfics as well but they're currently on hold of the time being...also got Potcakes - the series where the characters are based off you lot - started at long last but it's proving to be a bit tricky. Once I've got the pilot written I'll mail it to you - that is if you want me to do so.

And Potcakes is the WT name of the thing cause I don't quite know what it'll be called yet.

Well I better go - I think I've ranted on enough for one day.

Keep well people (and cheer up baka-chan - once I get a bit extra free time I'll call you okay? ^_^)

Failed Driving Test but going to the cinema anyway

Well as you all heard yesterday (via text message) I failed my driving test. I was gutted about it but looking back on it I could have done a hell of a lot worse. I managed to go way too fast around a corner in third gear when I should have seen that it was a steep country road and down to second gear and then I got a reverse around a corner. Okay first tried as a round corner then realised this ain't right - corrected myself to a square corner and didn't let the car go in far enough to get back to the cerb on my side of the road. And I also forgot that the handbreak is called a parking break! You would seriously think that they would make life easier for everyone and just call it a hand break instead of a parking break, I pushed the bloody breaks down to check that they were working! Not good at all.

Trust me a driving test is a lot harder than it sounds!

Still I'm over the worst bits now - which is good - had a good old fashioned mope about it last night (after I had finished work with the first two hours having customers go on at me about their invoices which they hadn't paid and wanting money back and I'm sitting there thinking 'I do not need this right now!') and fell asleep at about 22:00. Mum said that I looked very cute lying there with a blanket over me and Snowy (my teddy bear) as she came in to check on me and tucked me up. ^_^ Thanks mam *hugs*

Btw thanks for all the text messages - they really did cheer me up and made me feel a lot better over everything *hugs you all*

Woke up today and had a fri-up, watched the Motor GP 500cc race repeat where Rossi won again (Hey I like Motor GP okay) had a nice long steepy bath, listened to LOTRs Fellowship soundtrack, took dog for a walk and am now writing in my blog. ^_^

Looking forward to the cinema tonight - sounds like we're going to have a big group of us there so it should all be fun.

Also off to a Halloween party at Legends next week so that should all be fun.

Gonna check a couple more things and then go and do some work for Uni.

Catch ya all later

Short hair and help

Well my hair has now been fully cut - and when I say cut I mean cut. Most of you will probably see it on Sunday - excluding Baka, Kal and Sparkie as they should have got the e-mails with the image on ^_~

I've been busy the last few days trying to sort everything out, been borrowing books, going for driving lessons, getting my hair cut, going to senimars, driving lessons, going to letcures, driving lessons, going to work, driving lessonds, starting sound project (and Kal I am liable to have an argument with you over the context of sound and music because of it) and driving lessons.

HELP!!! I'VE GOT MY DRIVING TEST ON SATURDAY!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Okay calming down, I'm a bit nervous - okay I lied I'm damn well nervous - but all I can do is my best on the day. And as long as I've done that then I should be okay...actually forget all that I'm going to do it and not be too upset about it all. Honest

Still got the cinema trip on Sun so that should help me out.

I'm gonna go now cuase I got to sort out yet more stuff for uni. Trust me to get into a course where I've got three/four different assignments going on at once.

I'm loving it really though ^_^

The stuff I've been doing and last day of long hair!

Well after my rather dire post last wednesday I'm feeling a lot better. I was kinda in a bad mood as I had just learned about a sound project that was going to over-shoot my work schedual (4-6 when I start at 17:30) and had also realised on the bus going home that day that I had a driving lesson booked for 10:15 -11:15 exactly the time when I I booked my hair appointment. So it was a text message to Ken (driving instuctor) asking to change it over, being stuck in a really hot and stuffy bus, being sick when I got off it (thank god I had eaten a sandwich before hand) and just general stress.

Sorry if I had anyone thinking that it was something else but I'm generally getting sorted now. Ken called me back on Friday (just before the end of my Film Theory Letcure) and I sorted that out so my driving lessons next week are 7:45-8:45 Monday and Tuesday and 13:45 - 14:45 Wednesday and then the test is next Saturday at 8:40am...help! Still I'm okay and I will do my very best - that's the least I can do.

I'm trying to get a flexi-work shift for Tuesdays at work and Babbs my new supervisor is really trying to help me out - and Mike as well cause he's in a similar situation but he's a year 3 rather than a fresher (yes I still use that term for myself but I think it sounds cool). So either I'll be working 18:30-22:30 on Tuesdays or they might drop it but I don't know yet.

Uni's really been fun this week, a right mix of things which I'm happy about. I think I've gone on about the earlier stuff so I'll jump and go to Thursday and Friday. On Thurs I had amination as usual and we went through our story boards with the whole group and went through the various technicques we could use for it. I'm going ahead with my dance one and I'm going to be doing a selection of dancing clothes copied in a rota-scope style (erm...non tech language Ryu) - basically it's a free hand style of drawing from a piece of film footage - a little bit like some of the sections in Gravatation but they're actual copies of real life shots. Hey - I really need to watch that just to be able to spot that sort of thing ^_^

Went to work on Thursday as normal and it was generally okay - still in billing overflow but if the customers aren't bad then I don't really mind - much. Also watched the backend of Battlestar Galatic Part 1 movie and I'm hooked on it. Still got Part 2 to watch (Dad recorded it for me) so I might do that later on.

Friday I did the upstairs of the house whilst listening to the J-pop selections I got off Baka-chan (and believe me they get listened to on a frequent basis ^_~) and then went and caught the bus for my 11:30 start of Film Theory. Whilst I was waiting I bought a bottle of water for 40p which was huge and I still haven't finished drinking it. But hey it's going to pay for itself as I'll keep re-using the bottle ^_^ You really didn't need to know that but meh.

Watched 'The Killers' which is a classic Film Noir from Hollywood and I think I might become a fan of the style - can't really be called a genre as such but I won't bore you with all of the details. If you get a chance to watch it or any Film Noir I would highly recommend them as they're a darker side of human nature and very logical in the way that they work things out. Okay I know I sound like a media student but what do you really expect? I AM A MEDIA STUDENT!

Anyway moving on...

Went to Uno's afterwards and had a Calanzoi pizza which was really nice and then I went to Kendo as usual and it was so much fun. I'm the only girl in the group of new starters so I stand out anyway and it's quite funny. Learned from Sensai that I actually do a different bow/kneel to the lads cause I'm a lass. Instead of having to go down on my haunchers with my ankles touching I have to kneel with my left knee on the floor and my right foot flat. I'm not quite sure as to why but Dash and Kamo-sama thought that I was the lucky one.

Mat likes his Japanese nickname - true it was after Dash said that it sounded really cool and then changed his voice saying it but I think it's going to stick ^_^. Just need one fore Dash the mad hyper one. Might be something along the lines of Genki-chan but I don't know. Heh I'll talk it over with him ^_^

We went through a series of cuts again (jumping back to Kendo) and I think I might have some of them slightly worried. Reason being that part of the mechanism of Kendo is the Kei or Spirit which comes from you. That's why you always here the Samurai's screaming and shouting when they're in battel cause they've got to summon their Kei to fight well. It's partly a traditional thing and it's also something used to scare your openent or catch them off guard. Let's just say a few of you have heard me shout and I'm kinda going for it. Most of the lads - excluding Kamo and another lad whose been doing Karate or Judo - are still a bit timid of shouting but I'm not. But I think the sensai's don't mind that at all - I know one of them (David or Allan can't quite remeber his name) is really happy to have a girl back in the group once again. He keeps on talking to me and tells me of other girls that have been in the club.

So I think I'm going to be fine. *Grabs Shinai, goes into stance, raises it and does a men (head) cut* MEN!

Hehe...gomen nasai...didn't mean to scare people. ^_^

After that went over to Kamo's again but this time to watch a new anime film he had bought. Before we could start watching it though the fire alarm went off (for the second time in about 24hrs according to Kamo) and we ended up outside waiting for everything to be cleared. No idea what set it off - I'll ask Laura on Monday or Tuesday (dep on when I see her - and she's a mate from Media) and find out what happened.

Once that was over - nothing burnt down - we went back and watched Toyoko Godfathers and it is really cool and very sentimental. Basically it's about three homeless people who find an adandoned baby girl - who they call Kiyoko - at Christmas and they try to return her to her mother. They is a hell of a lot of back story and it's really worth a shot - might not be the best thing in the world but it's a feel good film for christmas. ^_^ I'm gonna try and get hold of a copy for myself cause it's just one you can watch time and time again.

Got in from that near 12 - mam was kind enough to come and pick me up ^_^ Thank you mam - and then was up for eight for work. Went through my standard eight hours which were okay - I swear people are slightly nicer on the weekend - and talked to Venessa another mate from work who I hadn't seen since last week. Then came home, had tea and waited for Chibi to come over.

Ended up staying up till two in the moring watching Disney's Robin Hood - don't ask why we just did - and woke up this morning (she slept over), had breakfast, chatted a little and then she went home to do some work. Currently I'm copying a selection of books from the Uni Libaray - and it is work cause I need them to study from - and listening to Love Hina music which Kamo chan copied for me as I gave him .Hack//Extra, Pretear and the three selections. I got loads back so my colletction is steadily growing and I think that I might have to start collecting more series or copying them ^_^

God I've waffeled on a bit haven't I? Still it's quite fun to just write everything down - it really does clear your head really well - same with Kendo for me.

Anyway as I have stated in the title this is also my last day with long hair. I am getting it fully cut tomorrow so it'll be really cool and short. I can't wait for it ^_^ I'm going have shorter hair than I've ever had before and I don't care. It's going to look fab and be virtually no hassel at all ^_^

Hopefully you'll get to see it either by photo for Sparkie and Baka or next Sun when I have you lot out at the cinema. It's going to be for one of the two Cs - Congratualtions or Comiserations - depending on how Sat goes. I'll text you all about it and try and get it sorted out. (Gomen nasai in advance baka-chan and sparkie but when you're back we'll probably all be doing things then - I promise)

Well if you've managed to get through all of this without thinking that I'm a freak or off my head then I commend you. If you haven't then...well...yeah...whatever.

Going to go and find some stuff to do.

Catch ya through the week ^_^

Meh

God I'm feeling so dun in at the moment...no idea aas to why. Was only in 9:30 - 13:00 but then again having to go through one of Denman's letcures can take a hell of a lot out of you. Today we went through how not to blow a fuse and also the basics of html - great fun *rolls eyes* it'll all be worth it though in the end. Hopefully

Been plodding on through life as normal...been doing animation stuff and seminars about discussing characterisation at length (well for an hour). So that's all going okay and fine and dandy. Got a full day tomorrow and then a half day on friday - 11:30 start and I don't get home until around 10pm.

Still keeping at Kendo and looking forward to it on Friday - I'm going to bloody well need it over the next couple of weeks.

Got an appointment sorted for getting my hair cut - Monday 18th 11:15 so come next week half of you won't recognise me at first glance.

Just realised today that my Driving pratical test is next sat (23rd) and I've got a load of driving lessons. Oh help!

And I've also got to work out a bit of a shift mix up with work cause I got a new Sound Project Workshop on Tuesdays now from 4-6pm.

Life's not fair and I've got a bit of headache coming on. Bloody excellent...not!

Still I'll find something to do to take my mind off everything and then relax and go and deal with a load of billing querries again. Yeah

Update and also and ADVANCED warning

Heya everyone...hope you're all feeling good and happy.

I know I am...been doing all sorts of things today. Driving lesson/practice with mum, sweeping up leaves with mum and sorting out loans (grumble grumble rant rant swear!) with mum which has been pretty cool.

Work yesterday was okay and I was babysitting for some people in my street - or more correctly checking to see that the little cute chibi was fast asleep while I watched .Hack//Sign disc 1 and ZOE vol 3 ^_^

Uni's going cool and I'm still plodding along quite happy. Found out that Dash (mate you have yet to meet) was actually in Berlin last week visiting his family which was why I couldn't contact him. Meh it's all fun anyway.

Kendo's properlly started and we're (Me, Mat and Dash) learning the basics again but we've kinda got to cause we've got to have them all right before we can go to grades or fight the others. And we've also learned that we've got to practice against the Sensai's and they apprently do hurt like hell. Should be fun.

Went around to Dash's and Mat's after Kendo and found out that they're both Fanboys. And I'm not just meaning that they are the quiet ones...stick on Asumia Diao and they start singing along to the theme tune and bouncing...best way to think of it is me and Chibi and Kal all bouncing and singing to Pretear opening but only as lads instead.

I think you've got the picture on that bit.

Got Baka's letter and Mat's possibly got a Japanese nickname - Kamo-sama - Master Wild Duck. Don't know what he'll think of it but I'll tell you all later.

I bet I've got you wondering what the warning is for?

Well Ryu-chan's getting her hair cut...and I don't mean just cut. I am getting it CUT and highlighted really short. Even shorter than anyone's ever seen it - an that includes you Nashi chan. ^_^

I thought I would be nice and at least give you some notice so they're shouldn't be as many really bad heart attacks. Hehe...I'm really looking forward to it ^_^

Well I better go and write up stuff.

Catch all later ^_^

Quick update thingy

Hey everyone, this is just a general quick update cause I've got to have my breakfast and then go to uni (thanks Noel for a 12 start ^_^).

Over the last couple of days I've been working on my 20 second animation project and it's starting to sound really really cool. I'm doing a dance section so god knows what it'll come out like but i don't care ^_^ It's more fun doing half the work for it (bar it tires you out completely).

Media Tech lessons are going okay - bar Denman waffles on a bit but he's alright - doing Film Theory today which I'm really looking forward to as I'll soon be able to look at how films make meaning instead of what films mean. I think Cape Town is going to kill me over it (as are half of you) but that's what you get when you're a media production student I suppose.

Got Kendo tonight - which I think I need to join the club for - and work tomorrow followed by babysitting for Trisha and Dave in my street which I don't mind cause I can take DVDs around and Chibi might be coming over (just have to remember to keep the volume turned down on the squeeking! lol just kidding Chibi-chan.

Planning to actually do some concept artwork for RN but no idea as to when I'll start it and I've still got episodes and other stuff to write. Bloody Hell...me and my ideas books!

Better go all the same. Hope ya all okay and looking forward to our next get together ^_^

Still very tired and getting confused at Uni

Let's see...the last three/four days have been well fun to say the least.

Friday went in to Uni did my letcures, spent about two hours watching all of the Garaduates work from last year, then went to the pub and had a couple of lemodes, then went to Kendo (which was kickass fun), then over to Mat's just to generally chat. Ended up coming home on the last bus and didn't go to bed till after 12 midnight.

Saturday got up (somehow) and went to work for eight hours as normal and general customers but I've been put into Billing overflow as have the rest of Maintain A so that's all fun. But I can cope with it. Once that was finished went and picked Mat up from Uni - Becks didn't come as she had been to a vodka party the night before and was not feeling well - came home, got everyone sorted, went and got pizza, marathoned Pretear (with Chibi squeaking :-p) and then watched the first two episodes of Haibana Renmei (which I am becoming a fan of ^_^). All in all it was a really good fun night and it was great fun being with Nashi, Kal, Chibi and Mat (who has yet to get a japanese nick name) and we all had a good time. True we went to bed at 3:10 or summat like that in the morning but meh it was fun.

Sunday got up at eight in the morning (after waking Kal up who was the one who needed to be up) got sorted out, watched ZOE IDOLO and actually half understood it, went and picked Grandma up, dropped Mat off at Uni, went to Metro Centre and got 30 recordable CDs and .Hack//sign vol 1 (at long bloody last!) and also Disc 3 of ZOE so I can continue my obbession with that, came home, downloaded over 100 pictures of Pretear from Reshelles (a fan site which is excellent), copied the Pretear soundtrack for Mat, Nashi and Kal - as Chibi already has it - had tea, went out to the cinema to see Hero which was fun but towards the end of the night I was absoulty knackard! Went to bed after sorting out my bag for Uni.

Today got up early, caught the 20 past bus which was running late, got into town, went to my letcure to learn that it was actualyl meant to be at 11 and not 9.30 as it said on the timetable, talked to Lee and Mark who are on my course, went for the letcure about insurance and how to book equipment out for use on shoots. I was sitting there thinking I already been through half of this during the Health and Safety brief. But they've got to clear everything I suspose. Finished at 11.30 and caught the bus home.

God just writing all of this has made me feel even more tired and I've got work tonight. Roll on tomorrow when I can have a lie in as I'm not in!

Mad Animators, Fun Lessons, Bloody Billing and OMG how much stuff am I doing this weekend!

Just a quick update before I go to Uni again this morning as I am not liable to update again until after the weekend.

Yesterday I had my first animation class which was so much fun. I swear that the lectureers are all barmy and mad as hatters. We went through some animation techniques, watched a selection of clips from various things - Loony toons through to experimental through to South Park - and then we were given our project brife. Gotta make a 10-20 second long section of animation that is based of a word from a long list that we made. Not sure if I'll ever be able to show any of you any of it but meh.

Work was fun as I got in five minuets late (due to traffic) and then found out that I was in the Billing Overflow call cque as were all of maintain a. So I worked through last night. Can't complain much as most of the customers were okay but still there was a reason why I did not like Billing and I'm still not a particular fan of it!

Today got up, burnt my toast so I'm currently having Honey and Nut Cornflakes and I'm in again. Got a partial briefing on Documentary Script but dont' have to stay the full time as I'm not doing the Docu Project this semester. The I've got a briefing on the media theory section which I am quite looking forward to as it entails learning about how things work within media - ie how a camera works, how pictures get onto film etc - so that should be a lot of fun.

Then I've got a screening of the last years grads work, then off to the local pub for a couple of drinks, then get back and go to Kendo and then go round to Mat's (one of my mates) and see if we can sort out the anime society (YEAHS!)

Then on Sat I'm at work and then having a anime fest with Chibi and Kal for definate and hopefully the lot from Uni (just need to finialise all of that) so god knows what time I'll be up to. Then on Sunday going (hopefully) to see Hero with Mamo-chan, Chibi and anyone else who wants to come along as we'll more than likely have to get into the town anyway.

And then back in on Monday. God I'm gonna be so wreaked!

Come Tuesday next week I'm going to hide in my little bed and not move for a couple of hours.

Anyway that's my plans, you lot can have a bit of a giggle at me if you want I don't mind. Well better finish my breakfast and then head off to Southfield Green Bus Stop to meet mam.

Bye for now.
