The Weekly update

Right, just to let you all know my internet time is going to drop dramatically so my updates are more than likely going to be on Sundays (and I'm going to prove Mam and Kal wrong!)

So here we go:

Tuesday - usual 10 letcure and then mum gave me a lift home, pretty ordinary day (I think) and nothing really interesting going on.

Wednesday - where do I start? Got the bus at 8:30 as normal and got stuck on the bloody thing for an hour and twenty minuets (I got into town for 09:50) and my letcure had started at 9:30. Luckily though Graham hadn't covered anything that important by that point and I just went through the letcure as normal. Then went home and spent my time cleaning my room and the top floor of my house (much to my parents surprise) and then went to work which was a little annoying as customers are ratty as ever at the moment.

Thursday - the buses ran early and got me in early (which was bloody nice) and we watched the VOXPOP interviews we did throughout the week - unfortunatly for us we forgot to record any sound on the damn thing which was not the best thing in the world. Once that letcure was over (trust me it went on a fair bit - 9:30 - 4:00 with a few breaks can seem a very long time) I met up with mum and went to have a Macky D's before work. Once I got home from work I called Mrs Arkley and got my information for my Documentary work (which I was bloody thankful for), had tea and then wrote up the stuff and went to bed.

Friday - buses ran early and got me in early once again and I went through the Documentary Script letcure (which is a little on the boring side) and then Noel had a throat infection so we got to watch a double bill of a documentary about the decline of British cinema and then Ratcatcher so we'll probably be going through a whole lecture on Friday next week to cover all of that. Finished early so went and met mam and got to drop some stuff off so I wasn't carrying it all. Had tea at Uno's (Itilan resturant) and then went to Kendo as normal (and came back with the biggest and most painful bruise that I have ever come home with thanks to everyone hitting my wrist in the exact same place all night!) and then got a lift home from Mam ^_^ *huggles Mam*

Saturday - got up and went to work as normal. Whilst I was there I started reading the autobigoraphy of Olive Postgrate (the guy who did Clangers, Bagpuss and the like) and that is a really interesting book. Came home, got changed and went out with Peter, Bo, Kamo and Hiya for the Kendo 'Christmas 2004' night out - as apparently the last one failed miserably but I didn't even know that there was a first one - still need to upload the photo's from that actually. Hiya took a bet to eat a Chicken Fial (or however the bloody thing's spelt - basically the hottest curry in the Indian's) and I have never seen someone visibly shake whilst eating food or eat it so damn fast to try and win a free meal - only covered his main course though ^_^ arr bless him ^_^. Peter gave me a lift home and I went to bed (surprisingly)

Sunday aka today - got up at 10 and EVERYONE WATCH OUT, RYU-CHAN HAS INSURANCE AND CAN NOW DRIVE ON THE MAIN ROADS IN THE AUDI (that still don't mean I'm going to become a saperone for you lot. I will give lifts occassionally but if we're going into town then you can still get the bus in) and I drove into town for the first time. Very scary but a great amount of fun - even if both my parent's voices rose an octive or two higher ^_^ Then got the equipment for filming and ended up asking Kamo and Hiya to come and help us film a process - which for us was making spagety bolinase which we got to eat - and then came home and had a bath and am now going to watch the 100 greatest cartoons.

Cya all ^_^

RESULT!

Meh, I kinda forgot about part of this the other day when I was doing my update.

I got my first lot of results from my Uni Coursework and in Theory I got 60% which means I'm on a 2:1 and today I got my Animation Coursework result and that I got 65% on which is also a 2:1 ^_^

I'm soooooooo happy - and now I just have to put up with the parents who are in a funny mood with eachother.

Still off too work in about nine minuets so I is off ^_^

Snow, Metro Centre, anime and home

Well today it snowed *looks out of the window* correction it's started snowing again ^_^ and I was up at 8am (to go to the metro centre) and as soon as I saw that it had snowed and it was still fresh and un-touched there was me, in my PJ's and slippers, taking pictures of it with my digi-camera. *glares at people who are giving her funny looks* Hey I'm allowed to be wierd and get beautiful pics if I wanna!

Then went inside - it was way too cold - and got sorted for going to the metro center. It was quite a fun day - bar the fact that Chibi wasn't with us as she was doing something else and another incident which I will not write about - and me, Hiya and Kamo went and saw Magic Roundabout which is quite fun. Yeah I know I'm sad but go and see it for a laugh. And if anyone's going to see it anytime soon I'll go along again.

We then came back and I introduced both of them to ABENOBASHI - and they loved it ^_^ which is a good thing. Then came home, had a little tea and am now online updating and talking to Bakaness and listening to my music.

Just also finished a storyboard I had to do for scripting so I can show that to Graham and the other one tomorrow. Well I'm off to go and do something.

Catch ya all later ^_^

Wow - long time in between updates

Well kinda oopse of the whole updating thing but I've been busy this week and having the energy to update has been lacking to say the least.

Right overview time:

Tuesday - the film shoot that took us about two and a half hours to do and then a good half-hour/three-quatres-of-an-hour to lug the camera, tripod and batteries back. Me and Si were not impressed at how long it took and were desperately knackered at the end of it all I can tell you

Wednesday - Sound letcure with Graham as normal and agreed to work with Graham TS (another guy on my course) and David for the 25-still-frame movie we've got to do for scripting. Came home and went to work as normal

Thursday - in all day for Documentary film technique and got to learn about the sound box. Went into another group to do six interviews on Monday - goodbye lie in - and then went to work which was a evil night completely. Seriously being stuck in the whiners call cque is not funny

Friday - was in for documentary script and then theory, had to sort out shinai's with mam and Kamo-chan, met up with Kallers, went to BK, then to Kendo and came away sore as out cause I did some of the stuff wrong and it hurts worse than if you do it right, came home and went to bed.

Today - went to work, had a bath and washed my hair - first time this week - and then watched Abenobashi ^_^ Yeahness and then came online.

currently talking to Bakaness and Kamo-chan, listening to my mixture tracks and planning to go to bed cause I'm going to Metro Centre tomorrow with Kamo, Hiya and Chibi which should be fun.

Oh and Baka my answers to your quiz are options 1,2,9 and 10

Well bye bye people

Valentines Day ^_^

Well today was Valentines and I had a really nice time - bar the small fact that I overslept in the morning which meant I had to get a later bus in.

Met up with Kamo-chan and we went for Coffee (Hot Chocolate in my case) at Coffee Trader. I gave him his card and Milly a two tone pink Kitty who is going to sit beside his computer ^_^ and he gave me a card, a little box of chocolates (still have yet to eat) and a little dog who has been called Tonni ^_^ He then said that he would introduce me to his sister and I got another doggy but a little bigger and she's soooooooooooooooooooooooo cute *squees*, and I named her Kari Crystal (shorted to KC). He said it was cause he couldn't get me a neko ko neko (the two little cats in Azaumagna Diaho) so I got these instead.

They are going onto my bed tonight but they're next to me for the time being *huggles them both* I'll have to get a picture of them or let you lot see them when your next round at mine ^_^

Tomorrow I've got to go in for filming which should be fun and then work again as normal.

Well that's my update, catch ya all later.

EDIT: Since I'm waiting for people to come online I'm doing some quizzes and this is one of the nicer ones ^_^

Mam's Birthday

Well today is Mam's birthday *glomps mum for the hundreth time that day* and I got her a big crime book - she's gotten into them resently - and The Cardboard Box of the Rings aka Bored of the Rings, The Soddit (which is bigger than Bored 0_o) and Sellamillion so that should keep her quite happy (and I'm planning to nick them after she's read them so I can have a go)

Went out for lunch after uni and tonight she's going off to Sing-along-a-music but I can't go cause work was evil and wouldn't let me have the night off...*sighs* and I'm still waiting for my back pay...not fair!

Okay I've calmed down now ^_^

Let's see - I'll put information up about Baka's question in regards to change cause I know I have so much in every aspect of life ^_^ later on cause I don't have much time befor work.

Tech today was okay - but I swear that Graham could put the most noisest baby to sleep. He tell's us fasinating stuff but in one of those voices which you could quite happily curle up to and go to sleep. We're still on sound at the moment which is quite good but since I've done Soundworkshop I already know what part of it entails so that's a little annoying but meh it's still interesting.

Got Documentary filming tomorrow which means another full day *yells at the dog to shut up cause the kids have delivered the newspaper* and I need to send Nashi a text to wish her Happy Birthday for tomorrow and also work out where me and Kal will be meeting up with the lot who are going out on Friday so I can give her the pressy and then a quick drink and get the last bus home cause I've got work on Saturday unfortunatly.

In all day on Friday and I doubt I'll get online much so I thought I would update now and save a bit of hassell. Need to meet up with Kamo-chan as well and see if anyone's up for going to the cinema again this weekend. *shrugs* I dunno though.

Still catch you laters and Baka I'll get the letter written and off to you soon ^_^

Strange Monday

Well today has been the strangest monday I've had in a long time.

Was up and about at 10 2 8 in the morning and was wide awake and alert which is defiantly not like me at that time in the morning - especially on a monday. Went into Uni to meet up with Rob from my course to get the camera to do the expercise set by Graham for Thursday. Of course he had forgotten to tell me where he lived in Livan (if that's spelt correctly I'll be amazed) so I stood outside, in the nippy cold for a good hour and no sign of him. Called him about three/four times as well. Eventually gave up and went to try and find a computer to ask the Media lot if I could possibly share the camera with someone else at another time - needless to say I was quite comptempating killing Rob and blaming him for it totally. Typically the liabary first floor was closed, the computer room in Squires was being used by the Photography lot (with the real scary teacher who doesn't like the media students being in there to do their web sites when she has a class in considering the fact that they don't use the computers we do. Scary lady and I don't like her much), so went to Trinity but it was full and I didn't want to wait so decided to go and get something to eat and then go and catch up with Kamo as I had not seen him much last week. As I was eating my roll thing - which was quite horrible - Rob calls up saying that he slept in *rolls eyes* but he was kind enough to help me get the tripod, camera, batteries and their cases to the Union so that I could do my two minuets filming - so he got off lightly without no punishment.

As I was waiting for Rob, Kamo called and then came to see me with his Brother whilst I was setting up and doing the white balance and focus - which only took half-an-hour or so but I think I might have got the focus screwed cause I wasn't wearing my glasses so I'll have to watch that. Still at least this is an exercise which I can use to tell if I need my glasses for camera work - I might just need contacts for working in the media which should be fun. Got the film done - it ain't a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination and it's my first go so I'm expecting a lot of constructive critism from Graham on Thursday.

Once I had that done, I procceded to try and get all of this stuff up to the cinema (our letcure room - it's called the cinema) and boy if I ever become a runner on a shoot I'm going to get strong - those things weigh a bloody ton and are really awaquade to carry as well. Thankfully someone was kind enough to help up up the stairs.

Passed the lot to Martin at the start of our script letcure and then went on to learn about how the three part story works in the terms of filming and how hard it is for screenwriters today to create something original as it's all been done and it all can be related back to some story, film, idea or pretense from ages ago (so if I ever say anything about something being nicked/borrowed/like/similar to/rip off etc of something else then you know why I am saying it - cause it's true!) so it takes a lot to make an age old story look good and new.

Then met up with mam, had a light snack and went to work. My bloody cold has come back with a vengence and I was seriously not feeling that great until I had a cup of tea and the cold relief capsuals starting to kick in - but I think this ones come back. Whaaaaa Ryu-chan don't like being unwell!!

Came home and mam went out to see how Grandma was cause she's had another fall - got a call about twenty/thirty minuets ago saying that she's going to Rake Lane Hospital for a check up so I might not see mam till tomorrow which is going to be a real drag.

So yeah Monday has really been a strange day...

Tomorrow I've got Avid editing workshop and then I need to get mam a b/day card, Nashi a b/day card and Kamo a Valentine card (he's not going to know what I've got him though as a present cause he reads this ^_^ shhhhh *giggles*) and then come home and go to work and get ready for another early start.

Typical I have four early starts in one week - and two full days. Sunday's might just become my crash and sleep days again cause it's going to take some getting used to.

Right off to do stuff before bed. Catch ya all later.

EDIT: The Tempatation was too great!

me
You're like me! The intelligent loner. You're shy
at times but friendly, and you are never weak
and always independent. You are incredibly
intelligent (wise beyond your years) and have a
talent for many things (sports, music, art).
You have a kind and warm personality and enjoy
the simple things. Like hanging out with
friends and watching movies at home. But you're
sometimes quiet nature makes you a bit of an
outcast and a mystery to people. No matter how
pretty you are or smart or athletic, you just
can't seem to break into the crowd and be
noticed. Don't worry, try to be more outgoing
and speak out when you have more to say. Don't
hide behind your books and sports and computer,
get out there and get noticed. You also have
deep desires in life and feel vunerable and
alone at times. Don't feel sad either, What
helps me to express feelings and dreams that I
can't say to people, is through my writting.
Maybe you should try.

Almost correct bar the disorganised bit - okay a little disorganised at times I'll admit!

You are the sporty and fun one. You adore sports
and you love having fun. You like to go hang
out with friends and just do guy stuff. boy or
girl, it doesn't matter you get along with
everyone. At times you can be rough, but
naturally you are stubborn and independant,
those are some of your special qualities in

A sunday of sleeps, manga and films

Well today has been the nice, happy, quiet relaxing one that I have been promising to myself to have for about the last three and a bit weeks.

I got up - finally - at 12:05 (roughly) and had a nice long steepy bath (true after I had an argument with the hot water tap cause it wouldn't work for about five minuets) and read 'From Far Away' which was one of the manga's I got in Glasgow. I was expecting it to be one of those one's where an ordinary highschool girl got teleported to another fantasy dimension and suddenly turned out to have magical powers for the good of that place (okay it did turn out partly like that) but what I was not expecting was the fact that the two main characters - Noriko and Izark - cannot understand eachother cause they are speaking different languages and apparently the Awakening (Noriko arriving at wherever they are)is meant to summon the darkness within the people who populate that area...yeah I'm just as confused and the gits have left it at a right annoying cliff hanger and I soooooooooo want to know what's going to happen next but I need to get the next book. Annoyance. Guess what I'm going to be scowering FP and TM for every time I go in...knowing my luck they'll have every other one. (Still it gives people an idea of b/day presents if they get stuck closer to the time ^_~)

I think I'm going to follow this series - I'm totally curious as to what is going to happen in it. Anyway back to stuff today....hehe

After I had had my bath and read FFA (yeahness) I took the dog for a walk and then ended up watching 'Treasure Island' on Sci-Fi - and trying to explain to my Dad why Treasure Island was being shown on Sci-fi is always fun cause he couldn't see how Priates are now classed as Fantasy - - those convo's are always quite fun --- though I still don't quite understand how they can put Fantasy and Science Fiction in the same catergory when Dragon's and Robot's are two completely different things is still a complete mystery to me --- and it was a good fun version as well though my dad kept asking me stuff forgetting the small fact that I have not read Treaure Island (I think my summer reading list is going to be massive)

Once we had watched that, me, mam and Dad proceeded to watch Ice Age and I,Robot and I had almost forgotten how good a film both of them were. I haven't watched Ice Age in a while and it is one of those happy feel good films that I somehow was really relating to...no idea as to why I was but heck I can say that if I want to *bounces to Love Hina music* and it's definatly on my high list of films to make you smile and be happy and have a laugh with - okay I'll stop scaring people now. I,Robot was as good as ever and I don't think I'll ever get sick of that film - probably read way too much of Asimov to spot all of the references but hey that what makes it really fun and yes I am a Sci-Fi freak but I don't care *bounces and runs around* AND I want that little cute dragon/reptile thing from the fill ins from Sci-Fi channel cause it's soooo cute and adorable...*stops and hides as people glare at her* GOMEN NASAI *turns into the puppy again*

Hehe I'll stop now.

Got to be up tomorrow to get into Uni to get a camera to make a two minuet film. Should be fun and at least I won't have it all day either.

Well going to go and do stuff and then bed and go from there. Catch ya all later *bounces off*

The very wrong film

Well unless you haven't read Chibi's blog yet went out last night with Kamo, Chibi and Hiya to see Team America: World Police and WTF! That film is sooooooo wrong on sooooooooo many levels and sooooooooooooooo freaky that I really can't decide if I like it or not.

Might get it on really cheap DVD and have it in my 'to watch with mates whilst getting slowly out of my head' (and alocholic chess games are offically banned in my house - you can play it as long as it's pop or water in it. I am not going near the yellow bucket again)

Erm other than that I'm really tired and sleepy but I'm staying up to do stuff and have a nice long lie in tomorrow.

Well going to go and play with something.

bye

So much stuff going on

Right hello everyone - I am back and I am alive (well sort of) and god have I been busy.

My new timetable is a little bit busier compared to last semester but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon enough.

The course is going fine and I am really looking forward to going through everything that is going to be coming my way.

Can't think of much else to say - due to being very tired - so once I've done some stuff online I'm going to go and have a kip.

Ah yes sleep - I do remember what that is
