The Birthday Weekend

Well what can I say? It was a brilliant weekend and it's just the same being 19 as it is 18. Heh no longer an 18 year old either scary.

Quote of the Weekend - "Oh shit. My Lolly's dead" Me heading home from Tony's

Anyway the breakdown of the last three days:

Friday - got up, cleaned the upstiars after getting a letter from Specsavers for an appointment, called them up and got one arranged for 3pm. So after making everything look pretty and presentable I walked up to the big Shops (Manor Walks) in the rain with the dog, went through the test and found I was exactly the same as last time and then walked home. To say I was soaked and rather disheartened is reasonable and then dad asked "Do you want to go to Icky Dicky?" mimicking the kendo moves. I wasn't exactly sure of everything at this point being a tab on the cold side - but no way near as bad as Donnington - and wasn't thinking exactly straight so I asked, "What?" to which Dad repiled "Do you really want to go to Icky Dicky??" mimicking the moves again.

Instantly I knew that they had something planned for the night so I said I wanted to go out - in truth I was hoping that they would have something planned (gomen Kal-chan, I really did want to go out. I kinda subjected her to four dan grades and Bo without knowing oopse) and was playing guessies as to what it was. Turned out we went to Hexam cinema and saw 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Brilliant movie and Burton does an excellent version of the story which is far more close to the book compared with the other one (and yes I did like the other one but this version knocks the socks off it by miles). A high recommenedation off me cause it has brilliant visulas, excellent scripting/storytelling and the acting is supurbe. Depp and Burton pull together the story well and the other characters just totally work together. Dad wants Burton to do 'The Great Glass Elevator' which is quite ironic considering that Dad doesn't like 'Nightmare Before Christmas'.

Saturday:

Instead of me waking up my parents, my Dad woke me and mum up at 7:30 whilst trying to move the bilnds downstairs and one of them fell. He was okay but it was quite a funny start to the day. Opened my presents from my parents (see below for what I got) and had BLT sandwichs before getting ready and we headed to Westgate Hill.

I now own two moto-bike jackets. I've got my Yamaha (Rossi) one and a proper leather one again which is a bit like my old one just a lot bigger and with much better lining in it so it will be a hell of a lot warmer. Mooched about on the hill and went into the wierd shop (I can never remember the actual name of it) and I got a blue pendent necklace bought for me as well off my parents ^_^

Came home and got set up. Mat arrived early and then ten minuets later Ahmed did which was great. He's taken to the Trike so next time he comes over Dad says he'll give him a lift. Unfortunately he couldn't stay cause no one had cancelled their saturday off so he had to disappear. Shame but it was still great to see him, and my parents liked him as well.

The others turned up and the BBQ was an Indoor Grill but it didn't bother any of us as we sat and talked, watched DVDs and played on Video games. Weird night but one that I will remember with a smile. Also Mam's famous RIV Punch was quite popular - if a bit on the leathal side (and no I still have no idea what the hell was in it) - which was good.

Sunday:

Took Mat to the bus stop and saw him off. It felt mage strange to know that I wouldn't be seeing him for another two weeks - if I can get things sorted out - and it wasn't emotional but strange in feeling. Heh when he reads this he's going to think I'm soft but I don't care. I do miss him it's just I get busy with things and keep running all over the place.

Anyway, came back and watched the German Moto GP. Rossi won again but this time fighting with Gibernal for pole and having to watch Nicky Haydon who was trying to get a pole on his birthday. Bless him 24 years old today. Quote "I was hoping that it would be my birthday present to Nicky" Gib after he came second. A damn good race and I want to see both of them fighting over the rankings again. It's so fun.

After that I had a bath and fell asleep. Woke up at 3 when the phone went, fell asleep, woke up at 4 looked at the time, shifted postion and thought 'I'll have another half-hour', woke up at 5:30ish. Got changed and went to Giannies aka Tony's aka the Itlanian Resturant where we went for my 18th.

Managed to finish a full meal, something Manwell would have been please about but there were no Poffiterolls. Damn it! Still it was a goergous meal and I'm so glad we went there. Also shared a bottle of Rose with my mum and felt a little woozy but the lolly pop turned out to be an excellent cure for that. Except when we were coming home I dropped it in the side pannel of that car and hence my curse cause I couldn't eat it anymore.

Came home and walked the dog and came online.

There ya go, my last three days all updated. Certainly a birthday to remember ^_^

Time for a mooch

EDIT: Forgot to put what I got present wise -

Mam and Dad - Japanese dinning set (with a slight hint that they want a meal), White Water Rafting voucher, leather jacket and blue pendent

Last two days of being 18

Well, Saturday is it - I'll be 19.

Quite a scary thought actually, the last year of my teenage life. Kowaii.

Heh it'll probably be no different at all but still.

Spent most of the last week cleaning the house, and tomorrow I've got to polish the upstairs and hover it. Seriously I'm sick to death of cleaning things up, huh.

Still on a Moto GP high, I don't think I can quite come down from the fact that I saw Rossi win at all. Definately a day I will always, always remember - for teh atmosphere and the bloody cold weather.

Meh, going to go and do stuff

MOTO GP 2005!!!!!

WOW, yesterday was abosultely great. I went to Donnington Park and saw the British Moto GP Race! OH wow it was so cool and really fast paced that I could hardly believe it. The only small, rather persistent problem was the rain...

I have never been so cold, wet and miserable in my life. Not even when we did the Waterside Trail (Chibi you'll know how bad that day was) or when we went to Scotland in October have I been so cold and soaked. I'm not joking when I say my hands had actually started to turn blue by the end of it.

Anyway we arrived there at six in the morning, got it and prowled around the stalls and stuff. Got myself a new 'Rossi' style jacket which was supposed to be £90 but I must have charmed the guy with my ravishing looks (or flashed my tits at him as Dad will tell ya) cause I got it for £70 (twenty quid saving). I know it sounds a lot but for a proper jacket with armour in the arms it's a damn good price. Also got a offical GP T-shirt, an Offical Valentino Rossi 46 race top (the guy whose going to be champion for the fourth/fifth/sixth time this year and we're all a big fan of him), a Teddy and a free poster which I'm happy about *dances* Dad got an excellent helmet for only £30 which was brand new! You can't even get second hand ones for that price - unless your getting them off a mate usually.

Anyway the racing started and the 125s were as fun as ever - basically they're the young lads (16+ roughtly) who go hell for leather, try a load of different tactics and have the most falls of the lot of them and are also generally the ones to start watching for when/if they move onto the next levels - and the racing was getting going when the rain came. So they stoped, changed onto the wet tires and did a nine lap sprint race to the end. Imagin a 125 bike going at about 150+ miles an hour in the teeming rain trying to win. Very fun.

The 250 race (the next stage up) was declared as a wet race and was okay but always seems a bit boring. It's a good race but it's inbetween the two classes I like and can be a bit tedious.

Then came the 500 race and wow. It's always my favourite anyway but it was so cool actually seeing Rossi, Gibernal, Edwards, Haydon and all the others actually racing around on these bikes. It was like a dream come true. I've never felt my heart beat so fast and virtually the whole crowd was cheering Rossi on cause not only is he a damn good rider he's an adopted brit - he's Italian but can't live in the country without getting mobbed so he lives in London - and it was just amazing to see him actually win a race. He was fighting to get it, and determinded as hell, you could tell from the way that he started the race. Just straight away and gone. He went from pole to third, then second, then third, then fourth (how I still don't quite know) then back up to second and in the last five laps he leapt up to first and no one could catch him. He won with a 7 second lead! That's amazing considering these bikes were going around the track about 200 miles an hour and he had 7 seconds on the second place guy!

We then left to try and beat the crowds - we would've done better to stay put for several hours. I fell asleep whilst we were waiting to get out (I had been up from about 2am with only a cat-nap inbetween) and though that I would wake up once we go near the litte chef my parents wanted to go to. I woke up three and a half hours later to find that we were still in the traffic trying to get onto the M1 and were stuck in the country lanes around the back. That was totally rediculas and to make matters even worse when we got to the M1 they had made it so everyone had to go down the south road. Considering that almost 50% plus of the people there will have wanted to go onto the North Road this seems a pretty stupid idea. We did get back on the north road eventually and it took us eight hours to get home. It would have been quicker to go to London and back in a day than to get out of that place.

Still I'm glad I can say I've done it and know what it sounds/smells like and the atmosphere I'm never going to forget but I think if I go again I'm going to go into a nice hotel, walk in, watch it, walk out and stay put.

Hehe 46! Valentino Rossi wins!

Oh side note, Birthday's this Saturday and it's a BBQ at mine starting at four. Please respond to the text messages that are going out tonight, thank you

Heh Three Days

Heh I've read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood prince in three days and I love that book so much. A lot of an older read but what I call the 'calm before the storm' heh I want to read the next book but gotta wait some time yet.

In other news, Ryu-chan has been ill - partially the reason why she read HP in three days - with a nasty 24hr bug thing and Chibi's now bought my leather biker jacket off me.

It's too small for me now and has survived about 10+ years in my possession so definately time for a new one. I'll drag Chibi down Westgate Hill to get her a lid (a helmet) cause she keeps on using mine and to get myself another riding jacket. I've got a post poser but it's not that pratical for riding the Trike on.

My mates at work saw my photo's - at long last - and they liked them. Though Jeff did comment that I hadn't gone away with many people, to which I hit him for.

I'm getting stuff done for RN and should start to look at FITS closely sometime soon.

Anyway I'm going off to do stuff. Catch ya later

Holiday in Greece

Right, A BIG WARNING - before you read this I suggest that if you have any pressing matters that need attending to I would go and do them right now cause you've got 14 days worth of updating to read here and it's gonna be long.

So back dating myself:

Saturday 26th June

Well I'm here, alive, safe and well and enjoying the sun and the pool.

The flight yesterday was really nice, we left on time and it was fun to look out the window - over Kel - and see Cramlington and Blyth wizz past in a few minuets (roughtly half-past two in the afternoon on a Thomas Cook flight if any of you happened to look up at that point).

The flight itself was quite canny, watched the In-flight movie of The Incredibles and didn't reaise that it was over two hours long. Also started re-reading Marlfox an old Redwall favourite I brought along.

Prior to the flight I bought a beanie bear that is meant to be a cheeta but I'm not that sure. He's still needs a name but no boudt I'll fine on by the end of the holiday.

We arrived on schedual and got out stuff - and we managed to get Kel's bag mixed up with someone elses - I called mam to tell her that it was ten past seven and 37oc. She was envious I can tell you.

Got picked up in a taxi and the views are truely stunning here. I might just get another camera cause I'll be snapping all of the time *realise why it is not a good idea to place book on leg whilst writing when it is covered in sun lotion*

Anyway, arrived at the appartment and met Nicos - the owner and long time friend of Kath, Brian and Kel - and talked on for a bit. We unpacked - me quicker that kel - and then went to the safety disposite box and put all the important stuff in there.

Then we met George - another friend - who nicked Kel's band and refused to give it back. Then we went onto Coster's and I had Potato Skins and Mosaka which - though I didn't finish - I love. I got tons of others to try before I go and I'm looking forwar to them.

Also met Albert who is a waiter there and a real good laugh, and ended up coming back to the apartment at about 12:30 and got ready for bed.

Today, woke up after Kel - but was still ready before her? - and headed to the public pool. It's so nice and cool! I'm going to start waking up early and go in for a few lengths. ^_^ (guess how long that lasted)

Today is the do nothing day but I'm going to keep dipping in and out of the pool. Kel's currently topless but I'm not going any further with that. Anyway the pools calling me.

Later on

Bloody typical - I be sensible and come out of the pool to pu some more sunlotion on to keep myself safe (guess how long that lasted) and as I'm going back to the pool what do I go and do? Stand on a bloody wasp - right in the center of my foot.

I swore and pulled the wasp - which is now dead - out and got rid of the stinger and put some cleaner spray on it. just gonna watch is for a bit and keep it clean. I'll do some more reading and go back.

After reading a chapter of Redwall
Turns out that its not a wasp I stood on. Probably a wierd bug or something. I'm heading back to the pool.

Later on

Just had some lunch of a chicken burger and custard pie - both of which were delicious. Kel's just came back with the camcorda - after three goes at getting it and is starting to film as I write. Should be fun to see what we end up with but meh.

I'm already sunburnt (told ya I didn't last long) on my back, blaming swimming for that but never mind. gonna read some more and say hello to the camcorda.

later on

Back from the pool onace again, this time did not step on anything. Read some more of Redwall and I'm looking at all the nice forein boys (don't worry I only looked Kamo and nothing else *hugs and kisses* and you others better not get any ideas) - though one of them looks incredibly like Dash but his hairs been cut so I know it's not him. Shame, it would have been funny if it was.

Gonna put some more sunlotion on and then head back in. Might do a Redwall rp on Gaia when I get home.

Later still

Well my foot is royally wreaking now, there's no swelling but it feels like a lump on the bottom of my foot. I'll keep on attacking it with the spray stuff and I've currently got a plaster on it.

And also typically I got sunburn on my shoulder...make that both of them. That'll teach me to do swimming all day. Had a shower and we're going to George's tonight (once Kel is read that is) and then get the money for the apartment and possibly see a film.

Night

George's is really nice - not brilliant but okay - I had Greek Salad and Chicken Kabab, proper off the scewer kin and it was scrummy. Haven't gone to the film cause my foots still wreaking - though its still a mystery as to why.

Kel's off to see Albert so no idea when she'll get back. So I'm munching on a sandwich, nursing my foot - even though I'm currently sitting crossed legged on it - and sunburn.

Sunday 27th June

Well got up a little later than expected but still did 18 lengths which I'm happy about. Went and had breakfast's at George's and had a sausage sandwich and mixed fruite drink which was really refreshing.

Just finished the postcards and I'm gonna get changed, post them and go back to the pool.

Later on

My sunburn has got worse, probably my own stupid fault but nevermind. Played ball in the pool with Kel and also got beat by her at pool - as in the game where you hit the balls. Read some more of my book, went back the apartment and *something that can't be read*

Later

Went to Nichos for tea and had Daksi and sparoutsoun - meatballs - they were okay but the source was a little too yucky for me. Went to a quix night across the way and we came out with 9 1/2 / 18 but weren't last which is a good thing.

Planning to go shopping around Roda after a lie in tomorrow. Nanight

Monday 28th June

Well the sunburns goig down which is a good thing. Got up at 11 today cause Kath told us that the maid was coming around to clean up. Got washed and dressed and walked around Roday with Key - after buying Factor 20 suncream. The shops are brilliant here and I'm going to be spoilt for choice over what I'm going to buy everyone. (Yes you all have gifts waiting for collection)

I did buy myself three Greek football tops - only cost 37 erou which works out at about £25 or summat. I'm currently wearing the XL one to cover my sunburn.

Came back and had a snooze - can't work out why I'm so tired and came up with a real dark ending plot for FITS.

Got a call from mum and Dad last night which is quite strange cause I missed them a bit last night. Planning to go back to the pool - mostly to sit in the shade and I might take a dip.

That Night

Went back to the pool for a little bit and finished off Redwall. I've changed my mind about the rp - it's going to be a marlfox based one about them being young.

Me and Kel went by ourselves to an Itlain resturant and I had garlic break with chese and Calazoni - it was nice but they had no proffitorals which I was annoyed at. We had a couple of drinks and then saw The Pacifier.

Kel enjoyed it and it was fun re-watching it. Even better it's free bar they ask you to buy a drink. That's fine by me.

Going to Sidari and the leather shop tomorrow. The bear's been named Rondo after the buscits that I like here - and after I nearly dropped four different kinds onto the floor which Kel found hysterical.

Tuesday 29th June

Wow, this place is a writers inspiratuin. It's absolutely beautiful and only partially touched by humans. Everything including the new building just looks well worn, used and loved dearly by all.

The cars here so we went out for a drive to Paliokatritsa which has four coves to its name and some of the most breath taking views I have ever seen. We also had a plodge in the sea which was nice and cool and it did wonders for my blister that is on my right foot. my minds starting to swarm with ideas for the new fits ending - which is partially good and bad. heh I think Greece and Corfu will become my main setting for Quentai. It partically resembles it in so many ways and it's going to be fasinating to research.

Pior to all of this we went to the Olive and Leather shops. I got my first soveneries for my family - the rest will be done next week in the last two days (that didn't go exactly to plan). I got an owl and blue leather bag for my mum, a carved eagle head and a belt with an indian buckle for dad, a duck for gran and a small leather bag and a wood box for myself. Lucky for me I was carrying 100 euro's but I don't mind.

Came back and discovered I've got heatrash on my legs. I swear if it's not one thing its the other. Sunburns nearly gone which is good but I'm not risking anything yet.

Went to the most photographed spot in Corfu - the small monistary just before you get to mouse island - and looked around. Very small but extremely pretty and well designed. I'm glad I'm not here at the height of season. Came back and stayed in the apartment reading Red Dwarf. Then went and got some money for the meal.

We went to a chinese restuarnt - don't ask why there is one in Corfu - and we mixed and matched. It was all right but too blan and rather tasteless on some of the dishes - I think I'll stick to the sweet and sour if we go back (we didn't). Came home and the views are still stunning in the dark. So many different layers awith blue for the sea and twinkeling lights where houses and towns are. God if I ever need some inspiration I'll just come back here for a holiday.

Currently lying in bed writing this, Kel's asleep and wants to stay by the pool tomorrow but Kath and me want to go to the coast. Heh I want to explore this place. She'll come around I bet.

Gonna read some of me book and then go to sleep.

Wednesday 30th June

My God! This Island keeps on getting better and better. The views are even more glorious than yesterday and wow is all I can say. I'm onto my third disposable camera already. Heh luckily Nicos has some for sale in his shop.

We went to Casispoe and it's absolutely brilliant! A real place to mooch - bar the fact that it's boiling hot - and I bought a wind charm for the family to go in the porch/conservatory (if it ever gets built) and I got myself some proper Corfu trousers which make my shadow look I should be a mermaid or summat.

Kel and me went to the Internet Cafe and I sent an e-mail to everyone which really made me smile. Glanced at Gaia and OMG I'm going to need at least three hours online to read it all up. But heh it'll be worth it (turned out I actually didn't)

I'm offically made Greece my inspiration for Quentai as we also went to Aspire, Katina and Kitwaras (or a spelling similar to them anyway) coves and they just kept on becoming more beautiful and scenic as we went on.

For some insane reason me and kel recorded a game of pool and she beat me (again). but the previous game it came down to the waiting game for the black ball and I did get 2 in 1 shot which I was immensly happy about.

We're back to cool off and get changed before going to Panormarma where the sunset is said to be amazing. I'm wearing my skirt and getting dressed up cause I feel like it.

Headin to the pool side to read my book in the shade. I'll update when I get back...after I write that I went with Brian for a plodge in the sea. So my sandshoes and trousers are currently out to dry in the sunlight.

Nightime

Panormana is great, the food was nice - expensive but nice - and watching the sunset melt away with the sun sinking into the ocean is fantastic. It was like watching a surreal dream but so calming and beautiful. Hopefully the photo's I took will come out okay.

Me and Kel had one of our random mad half-hours. It involved two hammocks, us getting into them and being pushed backwards and forewards by Kath. We're still big kids at heart.

For tea I had cheese pie, Chicken in glaric source and Ice cream. Kath got sick of Brian and Kel singing in the front of the car cause they were singing different songs to different tunes. No clue what we're doing tomorrow but looking forward to it.

Thursday 30th - must've put a day down wrong

Well today me and kel spelt in only thirty minuets after my alramr went of (10 am in other words) and we got sorted before going to George's for breakfast. I had a bacon sandwich.

We then all piled into the car and went to the Archillion palace which according to the guide book has been described as ugly and monstrous. I thought that it was stunningly beatuiful. A mix of styles granted - french, greek, roman, spanish and itlanian - but it just looked lovely and so well preserved. It's funny to think that it was used as a retreat for the Empress - as it was originally built for her - a HQ for the Occupided forced - WWI - a hospital - WWII - then turned into a museum/casino before becoming a very important place politically in 2003. not bad for a building that's just over 2000 years old. (built in 1889)

We then went for a drive around the coves and found an odd little seculded places along the coast. Also what made it even better was that my sunburns gone from my shoulders so I can wear my sleeveless tops again! Still can't quite go back in the pool - reason left unsaid - but that's going to be over soon. Thank god!

Came back via the coast and it was quite pleasent being able to just cruise along. Had dinner in a little resturant and got myself another camera *whistles*

Came back and the others took a dip in the pool 0 I dangled my legs in - yippe for the net trousers. Currently by the pool side, relaxing and wishing I could go and play in the pool. But meh, I'll contine with Red Dwarf for a bit.

Wow - 15 and a bit pages and we're not quite out of the first week yet

Midnight - well just after it

Tonight was quite fun, we went back to Costa's and I ate my secnd Mousaka which was lovely (even mroe so cause I only left a little bit on the plate). We then went to the pub and took part in another quiz.

I have never know a 'name that tune' quiz to take 2 hours to complete. Still didn't win anything but meh. couple of days relaxing to come - might get a notebook and start jotting down some more ideas - and then I'm going to enjoy things my way.

Well goodnight.

Friday

Well after a lie in - till 10:30/11:00 (which Kel was still complaining about) - me and Kel went for breakfast at Cursoe's and I had a full english with scrambled eggs and a cop of tea. It was nice and yummy.

Kel took forever and wanted to just sit there. Which I wouldn't have minded bar the fact I told her I wanted to get some laundry done. God that girl. Meh, in the end I finally got her moving but ended up walking back myself cause she called her boyfriend *rolls eyes*

Just finished my laundry about five minuets ago and got a ton of reading done in the process. Still can't quite go in the pool but I will be there tomorrow! Going to read some more and then I might have a sesieter.

later on

Well, I've had a few hours by myself and I'm going for a dip in the pool. It's on the way out and not gonna cause a thing.

Later on

Wheeee! Ryu's been swimming! Boy I really really needed that. Heh wasn't cold but certain cooled me down.

Also got attacked by two flaming wasps who wouldn't bugger off. Honestly you would think they would know the difference between sunlotion and pool water and a flower!

Came back and had a shower, hair got a good scrub as well. Gonna read some more and then we're off to Akarabi tonight. Should be fun.

a little later

Hey it's raining now, sounds really nice

Nighttime

Just finished a 15min call to my parents and exchanged piccies with Kel via bluetooth. Went to Geogre's again for tea and had pizza and chips (can't quite remember why we didn't go to akarbi). Then went to Theordeor's and had 'Itlian Cup' Ice cream which had chocolate, vanilla and some sort of sponge cake which I think had rum in it.

Kel's adopted a cat - turns out she's pregant - and has adopted the apartments as a place to rest. Bless, had to tell Kel to take it out of the apartment but never mind.

Gonna get ready for bed and enjoy some sleep before getting up and doing some lengths.

Saturday

Well swimming didn’t happen this morning. Alarm went off, I turned it off and went straight back to sleep. Woke up about 11:30ish (I think) and got sorted.

Left Kath, Brian and Kel by the pool and went shopping around Roda by myself. It was so nice just to walk around in my own time, my own pace and choose what I wanted to do.

Sounds a bit crazy doesn’t it? But as Kath pointed out – it’s my holiday so I can do what I want.

Anyway, it was nice just to be able to mooch and get different ideas for things. Got people things but you’re all going to have to wait until you get them. :p

Came back and put all my stuff away. Back at the pool side but nered to go back to the apartment for summat. Update later.

Later on

Just came back from a few hours playing in the pool with Kel and Biran. We were passing a volley ball around and having a great time. It’s quite strange cause right in the middle of play I thought of Blitzball. No idea as to why but I did and once again my imagination was off. Heh I’ll write it down in a moment.

Just had a shower to escape from the sun –my legs and arms have that tingelly feeling so I thought I would play it safe.

Night time

just came back from having a Mexican. As in food and not in any other way! It was nice and quite tastey but maybe not one I would really eat.

Came back to the apartment – as the pub was fill – and went to Nico’s shop to see what was there/allow Kel to call her boyfriend (again). Spotted some silly squidy animal things for my mates (but did not buy them)

Nicos asked whether me and Kel were friends as I was leaving. Not sure as to why he asked so we’re kinda confused and disturbed (as Kel says sitting next to me).

Sunday

Well another day, had a little lie in and then came to the pool with Kel. It’s dead. There must be about a dozen people here or so.

Still it gave me ample opportunity to do some lengths. Managed 10 but that was good enough for me. finished Red Dwarf last night and gonna start The Colour of Magic.

Later on

just lost my pen, so I’m back to writing in pencil. Oh the joys.

later again

Heh Kath found my pen which I’m happy about. Got lunch about half an hour ago or so which was quite pleaseent and I’m scarily half-way through Colour in less than a day. Me, Kel and Brian played a bit more in the pool and once I’m done a little more writing I’m going for another dip.

Early evening

Heh just got washed and dressed cause it dropped in temprature and became rather cold. Well it was maybe in the mid-high 20s but it’s still nippie after getting used to 30-40 degrees. God I’m gonna freeze when I get back home. Thank god I brought my cardian with me. going for an Itlian’s tonight and if anythings worth watching then to the cinema.

That Night

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! Just got in from the cinema, we saw War of the Worlds!!! And wow is it a good film. True there is no plotline at all, it doesn’t folloe the original book/radio play at all – though some bits are in but I won’t say here – but the rest was okay. Industrial Light and Magic must have had a field day with it. Hehe texting the parents about it. I’ve even offered to take Dad to it and pay for him to get in.

Monday

Well it’s quarter past three and this is the first time I’ve updated. Quite a record for me.

But it’s been a bit haphazard day. It’s Kath’s birthday so I gave her some rock. As in the sweet and not a rock. Once we had found Kath and Brian. Came back to the pool and was about to have breakfast when Kel releasied that she had lost her Dorthory Perkins store card.

So after breakfast of jacket potato’s and beans, we went back along the paths we had walked that moring. And low and behold…we didn’t find it. Kath called one of her sisters to ask them to cancel it and then we came back to the apartment.

*swaps books*

*in the new book*

I went in to get into my swimsuit and ended up having a long sester cause I had spent all morning out in the sun.

*glares at the wasp who flew by*

Kel woke me up – actually I was only dozing so she didn’t quite – and we went and got lunch. It consisted of chicken pie - which was more like a pasty – and half a raisin quasaunt.

Finally by the pool and gonna do some reading before taking a well deserved plonge.

That Night

*yawns* Well the rest of today was pretty much the same. Bar Nicos acting weird and strange and saying that he had to go and screw Brian’s head back on.

I might use Nicos as a guide for one of my characters in Gentle Waves actually. He’s harmlessly funny.

Filled in a couple of crosswords today and read a bit more of my book. Also realised that the little midgies have been at my feet again. I swear they only ever attack my feet. Why is a bloody mystery.

Kel’s got a cold, bless her little or rather big cotton socks, and keeps on whining about it.

We went to Costa’s for tea and I had garlic bread and Spagetti Carbonara which was nice and filling. Then to the pub and me and Kel decided to play on a daft machine with lots of little games. I will never see a dentist game so funny in my lifetime.

And it had Puzzle Bobble on it! WOOT! Got the hightest points on it as well. Yipee!!

Heh, going to bedbos now.

Tuesday

Well Kath and Brian woke us up today to check that the ticket for tomorrow was right. Apparently their one for Corfu Town only had two people on it instead of four which would have been a bit of a nusience.

Still cannot wait to go, we leave about four by boat and it should be great. Corfu by night!

Still need to get sum money but I’ll get the off them soon and go and get some.

later on

Nearly time to go, can’t wait. Just waiting for Kath and Brian and then we’re of. Yipee!

Towards Midnight

Just got back about fifteen minuets ago and it was a lovely journey there and back by boat. Of course it took us an hour each way which meant that we only got 3 and a half hours to explore the town.
OMG! It’s great – well the older bit. The modernised bit is far too noisy and crowded for me. we had food there and I can say that it was horrible compared to the other stuff.

I still managed some shopping. Got mum a set of earrings and a set of three photos (the hanging type and they’re also for Dad), Dad a black T-shirt with Corfu on it and myself the other set of photo frames and a baby turtle crawling out of it’s egg ornament.

Still got to get the friends gifts but Roda has more than enough stuff and that’ll be done on Thursday.

Kel’s trying to attack a fly at the moment and it’s quite a funny sight considering she’s training to be a vet and is mean to love all animals and here she is insulting it and killing it. I think she cares more about her book than the fly.

Baka-chan texted me and I repillied back but I’ve got to get to bed and wake up tomorrow for AQUALAND.

So night all.

Wednesday

The cats been back and we gave it some biscuits and crisps. She’s still wary but loveable. Can’t adopt her though cause Nicos might get a tiny bit annoyed.

Not long till we go to AQAULAND. Should be a load of fun.

7pm

Wow, that was such a fun day out. Lot’s of slides, lots of water and great people watching Opportunites makes Ryu one happy girl.

It was bit like a massive Wet ‘n’ Wild just that everything was bigger, faster and open air. No sunburn – well tiny spots but not bad – and it was great fun.

Went on most of the slides, bar the Kamakazi style ones. I learnt my lesson with them a few years ago and never again. Wet fun is all I can say.

Got some great photos, not taken by me but photographers at end of some of the slides. They look cool and I’m glad I’ve got them.

Had a couple of mishaps, the first being that we went down the multi twisters (for instead of two) I banged my shoulder early on and I think I might have pulled/bruised it in some way and then we came out of the black hole (which was literally a black hole with only one strong of lights in it) I fell out of the double ring and struck Kel in the head with my knee sending her into the water. I’ve still got the band on from the park and I might just leave it on.

It was such a great place, shame I’ll have to wait a while before I got. Go myself a T-shirt, towel and DVD of the place it was a special offer for 10 eruos for the lot which was well worth it.

Going to buy some more suntan lotion as my last bottle got smashed at the park – but I’ve still got the Factor 15 – no better play it safe. Off to a greek night tonight so it should be funny.

1:10am

Well funny is definitely a word to describe tonight. We had dancing and music. I volunteered to do a strange lemon dance and ended up with Glen who was several feet taller than me.

However I came away with a rose – courtesty of Gemma his girlfriend – and we won the contest so I’ve got a bottle of wine to take home. It’s also been recorded so god alone knows what it’ll turn out like.

Ended up talking to the others for ages and then came back. Gonna curl up and go to sleep now.

Only two sleeps – tonight and tomorrow – and then I’m home in England.

Thursday

(I know a lot of people won’t want to here about this but I’m writing it anyway…sorry if it’s a bit of a downer)

Just finished Brunch whilst listending to the News from Lonson. It seems quite surreal and an odd calmness is over those who heard it. it’s quite strange to think we’ve been attacked without warning and with no one claiming responcibility. I’m reminded of the IRA and all those attacks when I was younger, only this time its not like anything we expereience. What’s even stranger is that only a couple of days ago me and Kel were talking about similar things. She’s just come back from trying to contact her friend in London but the networks completely shot. I had to order her to go and call him cause she was getting so worked up about it. it’s quite true what we were saying about eachother, Kel sits and stares like a bunny caught in headlights whilst I somehow keep my head and start trying to get order and calm restored. Funny old world isn’t it?

But getting off that subject, on the plus side I did get the last of my shopping and got the last few gifts I needed. (and your still not going to know what you’ve got yet).

Back at the pool and quite looking forward to a plongue once my bruch has digested. Relaxing day before I go home tomorrow.

Also got a present for Brian and Kath as a thank you as they got me a bookmark.

later on

Oh poor Roberto, we just caught him and said “We met Gemma last night and we know all about you” to say he looked highly panicked and tried to get out of us what we knew. Of course we didn’t actually know anything so it was quite funny.

Been for a plonge in the pool and Kel’s cheered up a lot which is good. Currently we’re all sitting in a circle having drinks.

I’ve started writing my blitz idea story so it’s quite fun. Might start it as a colab on Gaia when I get back.

Early Eveing

Packings done, my suitcase is heavy but I’m still under the weight limit, leastways I better be or I’m in trouble.

Got a couple of plunges done and wrote more of the blitz one so I’m quite happy.

Kel’s back to normal which is a good thing. Might give the parents a call later or I’ll wait till Friday, haven’t decided yet. Going to George’s for our last eveing meal so it should be nice.

Nighttime

Well this is the last sleep of my holidays and in a way I’m in two minds.

I’m really gonna miss this place, it’s beautiful and such an inspiration for me that I’m totally bewildered and in love with it all at the same time. I want to explore so much of it and try out the different things but times run out on me. I don’t wanna go!

But I also can’t wait to see my parents, sweeps, my friends and work colleges and to get back into the flow of the busy world that is the IK and have things to keep me going and to whine about. I’m probably always going to remember this place with fondness and I will totally come back again and to and do some of the things I miseed be to be back home with my family and my things is going to be great.

Well the rest of the day has basically been down to the Compass for a cocktail “White Russian”, tea at Georges, then to Theodor’s for Ice cream and a play on the machines and pool.

I actually won a game! Typical last night Ryu wins her first pool game but meh and the little fact that Kel got two in for me doesn’t count either. I still won!

Hehe. Alls fun. Anyway gonna go to sleep and wake up tomorrow and wait to head home. Got an evening flight so it should be fine.

I’ve lost the last Friday entry but I remember that it was just little pointers from various things of what I was doing.

And my cousin James turned out to be all right cause he lives in London which was a very good thing. ^_^

And that’s it…Ryu’s holiday is now over and she’s home.
