You'll end up tracking Dragons if you're not careful

One of the best quotes from the DnD session on Sun, there was another but it's downstairs right now so I'll have to update it later. Heh I've been a sleepy busy bee the last couple of days, hence why my update is running a little bit behind.

Uni - going well. Getting on with the treatment for Dome and nearly completed it now, taking a break from writing it for a few minuets, so that's all good and well. Spent last friday doing a ton of work that I needed out of the way so it means my Media Marketing folder's going to look quite pretty with all the lovely images in it and also got the plot written up as well as a couple of other things I hadn't done. Today I've been busy getting things out of the way with the treatment near completion, getting business plan info fo media marketing and master degree info. I am going to be moving out to do a Masters in Screenplay and I could be going to either Wales, Bournemouth, London (Goldsmiths, Royal Holloway or Westminster), Swansea, Cumbria or Napier. Need to look through the information good and proper to decide which one(s) I want to apply to and get it going from there. Should be a lot of fun and means I'll be doing a shite load of overtime at Orange before I leave. But hell I'm looking forward to it. ^_^

Work - been work. High call cques, mix of customers and a couple of wierdos. Nothing particular there.

Oh just remembered the DnD quote, 'We gave it (a green dragon) an asthma attack'

RPG - been very fun over the last couple of weeks. The last session was mint cause we went aganist a Green Dragon and killed it because our new party member was a pych elf (basically a telepath) and managed to get a spell onto the dragon which made it difficult to breath (hence the asthma attack ref) and then Dave fluffed up on a fortitude roll and it went from 170+ HP to 0 and was pretty much dead. Then it turned out to be the skintest dragon in histroy having only 5,000g, a couple of rings (Ram and Feather Fall), A wand of cure light wounds (which I've got now), a couple of scrolls and that was it. But we still killed a dragon which was cool. The next installements going to be interesting as we have to face an army and kill off the big leader dude who is a drow and three of the party are elves (The Telepath, Mia, I'm a half-elf and the wizard Gnome used to be one so we count as one) so that's going to be interesting.

Social - I've been a right little social butterfly too this weekend. Was out on Saturday night for Mandy's 21st with Mandy and Kelly and went for a Chinese Buffet and saw The Prestige. I really enjoyed the film and got pissed off when I didn't work it out and fell into the trap of the film. I'm meant to be a script student and I didn't notice! Heh I liked it though and it's worht a watch. Going to Nightmare Before Christmas 3D on Thurday 7th Dec with my parents - even though they don't like the film - as no one else could make it and then will be going to a christmas party for superkrush at Tiger Tiger ^_^ Yeah!

No kendo for obvious reasons and now back to uni work ^_^

Why you should never run in front of a wizard..

Lol I've just been to one of the funniest sesions of RPG yet, this time it was the WFRPG that I missed a couple of weeks ago (Warhammer Fantasy Role Play Game for those of you who don't know) and it's not a good idea to run in front of a wizard whose about to chuck a fire ball and then roll 90 plus on the kill dice. You end up in loads of little itty bitty pieces all over the camp. Course what makes it funny is that my character was on watch at the time and I'm like typical. But it was a good session, just got cut short because of Patch's kid having problems and he having to run to Ashington.

Anyway, Uni's been fun this week. Got a re-write done on Best of Buds and a very extremely rough version of the treatment done for Dome as well. Got to start my Media Marketing stuff soon but generally I'm cool with that and I've chosen my theory question so I'll start reading up on stuff. We watched Trainspotting this week and I'm thankfully so glad that I managed to see it!

Speaking of films, they're releasing Nightmare Before Christmas 3D version on general release sometime soon, I will be looking up where it's going to be and baggin people to go and see it for one of our Christmas nights out.

Work's been okay, starting the rush before christmas and the panic level's starting to go through the roof with the customers which is making life a little less organisable but it has to happen occassionally.

Kendo was so much fun on Friday gone, I ended up playing teacher to a new starter whose bringing a few others around next time and then I was fighting against the others as normal. I managed to beat Barry! I got a Do cut on him purely by chance and I'm so happy I did, got bounced around the dojo a few times though because of it though but heh I didn't care. Then spent an hour and a half talking to Jo in the car park about all sorts. Don't ask why it just happened.

Anyway, going to see if I can find stuff to kill ^_^ *DnD style in case anyone worries*

Keep on moving when your down!

Whoot what a week! I've had so much fun and I'm feeling 100% better.

The biggest thing has to be that I got off totally with the problem I mentioned earlier so I've only got an offical warning which is bloody lucky so I'm feeling mega good about that and after the two weeks of hell I've gone through for that I'm so glad about it. *does a happy dance*

Uni's been going good too, the pitch I had on Monday went as well as could be expected and I just got asked about my inspirations, a plot point I missed out in the short script and what the title of Dome meant ^_^ The rest of uni was interesting, I took a little time off due to the prev problem but I needed it anyway so it all works out. Tuesday we watched Bloody Sunday for Theory and I swear that has to be the film of the semester so far. It just captures the moments so well and causes all sorts of emotions. The whole class was stunned into silence by it and they had to do a tear count cause it was that good. Wow. If you get a chance sit and watch it cause it's fantastic and I cannot recommend it enough. Thursday was MEdia MArketing and it focuses on Scripting which was fantastic for me and it was very insightful. I think I'm definately entering a cut-throat world and I will be attacking it head on.

Work's been pretty okay, still trying to get used to everything cause of the shift changes and stuff so it still feels a little wired but I'm getting there slowly but surely. Nothing big to report there really, couple of idiot callers but nothing bad.

No kendo this week due to the fact that most of them were at Momishi's so I didn't go and plus the fact I was knackard too so I'll be expecting a good arse whoop next week.

On sat after work, Chibi-chan came over and we marathoned Fruits Basket - well the first three discs which was cool and she was asleep by 2am I was asleep by 3am. So on sunday, got up, had breakfast, walked Chibi home, went to bed and got woken up by a phone call from Liz Thompson - my old Guides Leader well one of them - who was calling to tell mam that Juliette's Dad had died which wasn't that nice but by the sounds of things he just collapsed and that was it. At least he was doing something he loved by walking in the Lake District.

Then had a bath, got sorted out and went to the pub with Nashi, Mamo and Chibi and spent the time talking about films, remberance day, comics, ripping Mamo's story a little and then going over a story for Nashi. Great fun and a lot of laughs. Made me laugh for definate and made me feel better which is a good thing. And I've got to read The Amber Spyglass and the others before I see the film apparently and Nashi is dragging me to see 300 but by the sounds of things I would like it anyway.

Well that's it.

Target Pratice/Hobgoblin Branch of Amature Dramatics

Well everyone knows I really love kendo but nothings more fun than being singelled out as the Target Pratice by your Sensei and going full out for five minuets - or more I'm not quite sure - to ensure that you beat the living smeg out of everyone you face. Darren and Mick decided that I was going to beat the lads into submission which was quite an odd experience or it could have just been a telling off for not turning up last week I'm not sure. It was mucho fun and I managed to score a Men cut on Mark, get two draws between Andrew and the new guy who've I need to learn the name of and I got a kote on Mick. Now considering the fact that he's one of the hardest teachers I'm bloody surprised I managed that, but he left himself open and I just took it before he realised what had happened. Mucho mucho coolio! Then Darren bounced me around but I managed to block him a bit which is a good thing, glad I'm not going to Momishi's or else I wouldn't have been allowed to stop.

Work on Saturday was interesting, dealt with a few strange customers including one guy who was on the phone for an hour about a bill and was either high on something or a little drunk because all the previous notes on the account said he had been rude and nasty about the problem but was nice as ninepence with me and was dealing with about four things at once. Just a very strange character. Learnt that on my team - the new one - I've got Shabina, Thersa and Amos so alls good there and made friends with some of the others too. Watched El Marichi on saturday night and that is one hell of a film, loved the remake Desperado too and they used the same bar (bet Mamo will be the only one who gets that)

Today Gran came over and mum started going through her old photo collection to write names on the back of the pictures she had gotten over the years. I'm going to hunt out mine and get them into a few photoalbums with names on the back and also put the digital ones into folders - copied - so that I can remember whose who and what's what and when's when. Managed to disappear to the RPG group shortly after and had a good old fashioned DnD session with the lads. Patch nearly killed me for not turning up last week but there was nothign I could do about it. Anyway if anyones wondering about my rather odd title it came from the session as we had a bunch of Hobgoblins disguised as our characters who we had to fight at one point and my horse doesn't like hobgoblins as he criticed and whiped one out after charging which is very cool. So Richard - one of the players - came up with the quote "Local Amature Dramatic's Society: Hobgoblin brach" hence the title.

Got the pitch tomorrow for uni and then I can start getting down to a load of proper work for my script and all that jazz. And the theory read up I need to do.

^_^

NaNo

Yup, Baka got me writing one. I don't know particually why but I'm game for it, probably will get no where near the target but at least I'll have a good part of a story done which will be a good thing. Decided to go with an idea I've had brewing for a long time about a pair of twins who had very nasty parents and how they're learning to live in a new world. Not entirely sure if I'm going to make it a happy ending yet but nevermind. If you pop over to the site you can see the first two chapters - usernames Ryu Walnut Okami so go ahead and read my somewhat strange and creepy imagination.

Changed my hours at work now so I feel a bit out of place with the days as I'm now working Mon - Wed 6pm till 10pm and Sat 10am till 6pm. No more thursdays and it means that I get to go to the panto in december with three hundred kids, ohhh the fun.

Uni's going okay, getting on with the pitch for monday and pratically got that sorted out which is a good thing. Got the rewrite of Reactions done and it's renamed to Best of Buds. Heh when it's my garduate screening I'll let you all know and you can come and see.

still waiting on the results of the bad thing from last week, probably not be sorted for a while so I'm ignoring it for the time being.

Generally that's it.
