Shopping, Magic, Glasgow and Meet the Parents
Well let's just say the last few days have been really good fun and really amazing. Don't kill me much if I rant but meh I'm allowed once in a while aren't I?
Thursday - went into town to book tickets for train and then went shopping with Kamo and Hiya for some clothes and it was quite amazing as they didn't complain and actually helped! Boys helping a girl to buy stuff? Strange but very true. Also helped them get some stuff as well ^_~ Then we went and met up with Sampai Peter from Kendo to play Magic and I ended up killing him but then got beat by Kamo meh it was still fun though. Went to work as usual and then came home and got ready for Glasgow.
Friday - was up at 4:30 to be in town by 6:30 - damn train times - and then spent about three hours on the train to reach Glasgow. Once we were there we had breakfast and Hiya got his first taste of a fried breakfast, still can't quite believe he's never had one though. Then we went to Staic Games and Kamo got me two Dragon Whelps *huggles madly* but I cannot feed them more than three manner or otherwise they'll go POP (after attacking though ^_~). We then went to Forbidden Planet and it is sooooooo much cooler than ours - then again every other one will be so much cooler than ours - with Manga on sale at 3 for £15! That was just mega cool. I got Reality Check 2 (^_^), From Far Away (Another girl falls into fantasy world kinda thing but it looks good) and Fruites Basket vol 6 (they didn't have the others in stock) and a DVD for Baka (as I forgot to call her prior to us going up to Galsgow to see if she would want to come with us. *turns into the puppy again* gomen nasai baka-chan!) and she'll be getting it as soon as I've got the big envelope with the padding cause I've got several things to send her (DVD, Starlight Soundtrack and 2 Photo Discs I promised). Then we had dinner in a local resturant and I forgot how nice the scottish round pies could be ^_^ Then we went into Boarders and I got mam's Birthday present and they also had a 2 for £10 offer on Manga so I nabbed Fruites Basket 1 and 2 ^_^ Yeahness!. We also went to A1 games and mooched in there and the shop next door with the lovely old boy and I got a revised edition of one of my rp books. We mooched some more and Hiya and Kamo finally got their models of Sepiroth (sp?) and Zel from FFVII so they're mega happy - and I think they might be doing them for cos-play at Ama06 ^_^ (speaking of which need to start work on mine this summer) - and then we had a Chinese buffet and got the 20.00 train home which was delayed by 15mins coming in to Glasgow and a further 45mins going at Edinburough. Luckily mam gave me a life home cause the last bus had gone by the time I got in.
Saturday - went to work as normal and then got changed and met up with Kamo to go and play meet the parents (he was more worried than me) in Carlise and it was really nice. His mam and Dad reminded me quite happily of my own parents and they really did like me (or love me as Kamo said) and his sister is really cool a LOTRs nut with a thing for Orlando Bloom and with a hyperactive terrier/boxer cross by the name of Shasa who is just as mad as my Sweeps was when she was a puppy. Only really major difference was the fact that Shasa is brown and has big radar ears - earning her the nickname of Alien. Came back from Becka's about 2:30 and slept in Kamo's brothers room.
Sunday - woke up at about 11 with a stinking cold (Whaaaaaaaaaa!) and spent the day with the parents talking about general things, watching the Incredibles, meeting Dean (Kamo's nepthew) CJ (Becka's boyfriend), his Grandparents and aunt, uncle and cousin Joanne who is another anime fan and is really great fun. Had Couscous which is really nice for lunch and then came home on the 5:19 train, caught the bus home from town and got home about 20:00. Talked to my parents, had a bath to try and get rid of the cold (though it don't appear to have worked very well *is still sniffing away*), had pizza from Pizza Hut and then went to bed.
Today - got up at 9:30, got sorted, took four legged for a four legged, went online to try and download plays for dad from BBC Radio 4 and found that I can now and it all works and I can get book of the week and book at bedtime as well so lots of stories to download and listen to, at the same time talking to Baka-chan and now updating my blog. Gonna get sorted with things and get ready to go to Uni this afternoon - for Screenwriting Principles and Pratice (yeahness) and then go to work.
Life's going to get fun over the next semester but I'm looking forward to it. *sneezes* Now to get rid of this bloody cold and I'll be fine...just my typical luck.
Still everyone be safe and happy and I'll give peeps a call asap - cause my phone died on me during the weekend and I didn't get a charger!
