What a long weekend

Well heres a update for ya peeps

Thursday - got up a little late and did not do my scritping work but no big deal. Went to Uni and did an lecture of expressionism which was cool - found out that the batteries on my dicaphone were dead *rolls eyes* - and watched 'Man with a Movie Camera' which is quite a fun piece that was an experiment in it's time. (need to read theory stuff for that). Also finally got to find out about our Private Study option and found that it needed to be in by Monday. Eek! I decided to look into the process of getting a script produced and out into the world of the market place and what various agencies would expect of me to do. (yes I am determind to be a scripter/story-editor)

Went to work afterwards and ended up eating my sandwiches inside cause I wasn't going to sit in the car park by myself for an hour or so. Work was usual and came home, had tea and went to sleep.

Friday - got up eventually and tidied up. Did my Uni homework of my five minuet script called Bombs and Bullets and my private study proposal. Washed the floor and then went into town to hand in the study proposal at Uni and then go up to Heaton Park road to hand - well post - my script through Peter's door and then walk up to Heaton High Street to buy some heaton pies and then walk all the way back to Just Harleys where I had parked the car. The distance is equivalent to walking to the Big Shops/Manour Walks from mine to there and back again just to walk up to Heaton High Street. But it did me some good cause I hadn't done that length a walk for some time.

Came home and got sorted out and then went out to the Blues Brothers Party at City Hall and it was a really fun night. It was really nice to hear the songs from the movie and other ones that they did as well so it was fun. The first act was a little iffy but the second was cool and it was great cause the guy who was playing Elwood said at one point 'We're going to do a song from Blues Brothers 2000' and the whole place was silent. Bless him, they did '6345789' all the same and many people sang along which was good. What was even stranger though was at the end they sang a Beatles number and 'Show Me The Way to Amerilo' which isn't exactly Blues but it worked to a certain degree. A good night out

Saturday - got up and went to work for eight hours. Customers were being whingy gits big time and complaining over everything and one of them asked something that I couldn't deal with cause I didn't have anyone around or a system wasn't working and I asked politely if they could re-dial cause I wasn't able to help them as I was the only one in, they had the cheek to turn around and say 'So if I re-dial then I will just get to you' 'No what I was saying was that I'm the only person in my area at the moment but there are others in in different areas who I cannot transfer to so if you re-dial (it's a freephone number) then you'll get through to someone who can help you out'. Cheeky cow. People are starting to become really horrible and nasty pieces of work and expecting us to sort everything out when we can't.

One guy I had came through wanting to cancel his care on his account cause it had gone charable. Okay I check the systems and found that it had been charagble since August so I told him that I would not be able to cancel it cause it had been on the account to long and had to run for a minium of twelve months. He did his dinger over it and said that I could cancel it and that the T&Cs said that the care could be cancelled within the first 14 days of it being activated or after reciet of confirmation. I advised again that he could not cancell cause it has been on his account for two months. The guy was still unhappy and I enquired if he had checked his invoices over the last few months cause on there it would have told him he was getting charged for care. Sorta a bad mistake to believe that customers actully check their invoices for stupid things like that. He took on this all high and mighty attitude and said that it was our responsiblity to sort things out - even though he receives the invoices and should check them himself - and that if we didn't cancel then he was going to disconnect from orange. ??? Just cause he had to pay five pounds for care which means that he's covered against anything going wrong? Oh and the small fact that he got care free when he shouldn't have is another mystery. Did the only thing I could do which was to send an action off but I can gareentee that they will not cancel it.

Okay I'll stop ranting about customers now cuase I know you're getting bored. But it infruitates me to death cause they all think that they're in the right and granted about 50% are but the rest aren't and they can't seem to understand that! It was like one guy who was threatening to take us to offcom (the big phone people who regulate us) for him taking an offer through disconnections that would have given him a free bluetooth headset with the handset they gave him, the idiot suddenly didn't want the handset offered and refused delivery so it was sent back and went to retail to get a different handset. Now call my stupid but you would logically think that this would mean that since you declined the offer you no longer get the bluetooth headset correct? He didn't think so and said he had been told by someone in our company that if he went to retail then he might be able to get it through them. Did he ask retail about it? No...but yet he still wanted the headset. Told him no and he threatened with the Offcom thing and me and Jeff (SCA) were like they're not going to do anything cause you declined the offer.

Sorry....I will stop now

Came home and then drove Jess up to Hexam with my Mum and Dad to go and see 'Wallace and Grommit' at the Forum. That was so much fun! It's a really really really good film and you have to go and see it. Classic British comedy and satire with both the characters working so well. Go Arman Animation! Pity that the warehouse caught fire though.

Sunday - got up and had breakfast before Ahmed came round and we marathoned .Hack//sign. 10 hours worth. Oh my god...it was worth it. I forgot how much fun that series was and it was nice to finally see it all the way through in one language. Turned out I hadn't seen two of the episodes before which was a bit strange but still mega fun. It was also great seeing Ahmed's reaction to sequences ^_^

Finished that about 22:15 - we watched the extra eps and the first is good the second is strange as hell - cause we started roughtly at 12:15. Saw Ahmed off and then had a shower and went to bed.

Monday/Today - woke up and got dressed before walking up to the Big Shops to get some stuff - mainly batteries for my dicaphone - before coming back and doing the last two bits of my homework. Got my ten minuet film 'You Did What?' step outline first draft done and that's completely changed. Also got my pitch done for my feature length film, I've chosen to do Renegade Angel cause it seems like a good one to do and most people who read the ideas like it the best. Potcakes was a close contender but I chose Renegade after talking to Mam on Friday cause there was a lot of stuff out there which I can use.

Going to work tonight and then I full day at Uni tomorror. Going to walk the dog and then write something for WT.
