Let's Do the Time Warp Again! I'm Going to Live Forever! Springtime For Hitler and Germany!
Current Music: The Producers Soundtrack 'That Face'
Current Mood: Hyper and good
Well this week has been a week of shows and study so sorry about the length of time it took me to update but tis all worth it ^_^
Tuesaday - first day back at uni which was great fun and I got 72% for Bombs and Bullets and Space Adventures (my two scripts for Peter) so I was bouncing around quite happily with that information. Went through a few letcures on Documentary - the next aspect that we're doing - so that we had an idea of what we could do for our own documentarys. I've chosen to do Kendo as my subject matter cause I can easily pitch it in three minuets and there is a lot that can be covered in ten minuets ^_^
Came home and got ready to go out with Mam and Vinnie (a friend of Mam's) to 'The Rocky Horror Pitcure Show Sing-a-long' which was totally funny and so much fun. seriously singing and doing all the stuff was so (*giggles as Springtime for Hitler comes on*) great. You should all have received a text - unless I asked you previously - about going to see the live show and I NEED RESPONCES BY WED/FRI AND IF YOUR BRINGING ANYONE ELSE LET ME KNOW CAUSE I WILL BE DOING THE BOOKING IN ONE GO AND ONCE IT'S BOOKED, IT'S BOOKED!
Wednesday - had the day off and did little odd things that needed to be done and generally a good all round day.
thursday - was back in Uni for Work Experience and Theory and I spent the latter part of the day trying to spend my time doing nothing which was annoying. Work was okay and then I got home, sorted out my bag, went to bed and prepared to get up early.
Friday - left Newcastle at 7am in the morning on the mega bus and spent ages going down to London but what did I really expect? Heh it was okay and quite a nice journey. Mam came up with a good quote though, I was sitting, listening to my music, she taps me on the shoulder and:
Mam: Do you know where we are?
Me: No?
Mam: Auntie Maureen Country.
So we eventaully got to London and lug this bloody bag over half of London and sorted out the hotel. Spent a couple of hours resting and sorting ourselves out and then went out to try and find the chepo tickets for the shows ^_^ Ended up chosing to go and see 'FAME'. We then sorted ourselves out and had an Indian meal which was really nice and then went to the show. OMG that is such a cool show! I saw it years ago and this was no comparision. It was just a fantastic asault on the senses with music, song and dance in so many ways and it was just fantastic. And the girl playing Carmen had the most amazing voice going, she belted out the songs and when I read up on her she had only just garduated in 04 and had landed in the UK tour straight away and was making her west end debute in it. Oh it was just fantasic in every which way and form. Mam also came up with another good quote by mis-proncing 'Rocky Horror' as 'Socky Horror'.
And there were a couple of really nice lads in front of us who kept dropping their mobile and wallet. Mam turned to me once again:
Mam: They're nice Sarah
Me: Yeah they are, the only problem is that they are two boys seeing Fame by themselves (aka with no girlfriends and they're both well groomed)
Mam: Ah
Went home and was pratically dancing the whole way back like the idiot that I am.
((accidentally hits the publish post button before finishing her post))
Saturday - got up and had breakfast which was really nice and then me and mam went around Islington Market (the place that we were staying at) and had a bit of a mooch around. Even found a borders and HMV and went in there and mooched for a while. Then we went to Camden Market and that was so much fun. I seriously forgot how great a palce that was with all it's different stalls and things for sale, seriously if you ever end living up in London you can pratically live out of Camden cause it has everything that you could want and it's such a variety on the normal shops that you can escape with lots of things which made it so worth it.
what was even better was that I got to really annoye some pompus prat. We were in Camden looking around and we spotted this stall that was selling a british comic book (called 'Broodies Law Project Jameson) and I picked one up to have a look at it. The guy selling was telling this other customer about it and this guy was being ever-so-knowledgeable and politically correct and he said:
Guy: The younger generation are into their Japanese anime and manga...
Me: (in the most girlish bouncy voice that I could manage) I'm an anime fan (even putting my hand up)
the guy turned to look at me, expecting to see some little geeky girl with unkept hair and fairly stereotype look of an anime fan and what does he get? Me looking rather stylish in my white top, denium jacket and my hair for once brushed and slicked back nicely so that it looked presentable and I just glared at him as if to say 'right buddy, what you got to say now?'. Not suprisingly he disappeared quite quickly after that and I got chatting to the guy who had actually worked on the book. He was great fun and is apparently going to be at Ama which is going to be great. I got the book and poster for £9 and he autographed them as well ^_^ I think he was just over the moon to find someone who knew something about what he was doing and I also chatted to him about Anime. See Camden does have a lot of things avaible ^_^
After that we managed to get lost trying to find Forbidden Planet once again but we found it and spent ages in there as usual ^_^ Bought some manga's and an rp book and spent a lot of money but didn't care. Went back to the hotel and got sorted out, changed and ready and then went onto the tube. Got off the tube and got on a rickshaw which was strange as hell but so much fun, if a little hair raising. We then went and saw 'The Producers' and wow that is even cooler than the film! You just can't believe it's all happening but you still fall about laughing and all sorts of things work completely differently but it's still so good. And Springtime for Hitler! WOW that is so funny and a great musical number. And they still keep Mel Brooks line in 'Don't be stupid or retardy (I think), come and join the Nazi party' and it just makes you laugh out loud throughout the whole thing.
Came back, singing 'springtime' and having a laugh with mam. Got back and fell asleep quite happily.
Sunday - got up, got sorted and then headed back to the bus. The journey wasn't as bad because we were on a more formal coach and we got home reasonably. Chatted on with Dad for ages and gave him his presents and had a real laugh but it was so worth it. Checked things online and then had tea, a bath and then finished off reading my new manga and then fell asleep.
Monday - got up and sorted things out in my room cause it was a bomb shell. prior I took the dog for a walk to the post office and then came home. Started a essay that needed to be sorted out and then came online and updated this. Going to work tonight and then tomorrow got uni again which should be all fun ^_^
