Week of work and Why my foots hurting

wow long time no update - thanks for the reminder Mamo and the same goes for you as well - but I have been busy and little Ryu-chan has been tired and stuff which is not good but I'm getting there.

I pratically spent Monday, Wednesday and Friday writing up my re-draft of my treament - finishing it off and all that Jazz - and I'm much happier with it cause it's a lot more light hearted at bouncy which is good. A Cerby gets much more of a look in which makes me smile and laugh a lot ^_^ Posted it through Peter's door the other night so it should be okay and cool and I'm looking forward to finding out about it on Tuesday next week.

One bad thing this week was that I got my theory essay back and it was 50% which was a bit of a bad eep! and I felt gutted for about five minuets then my mind kicked into uni mode, pointed out that it came in at a 2:2 and then I worked out my average for the semester and found overall I had came away with 63% so that meant I was on a 2:1! That made me feel ten times better and I went to boarders and treated myself to two new mangas which made me feel even better. Haven't read them - well correction one's half-read now - but looking forward to getting it all done.

Theory was really cool on Thursday, we watched a film by the name of 'Paris, Texas' and it is so classic. I've become an instant fan of it and I'm defo doing my essay on it cause the guy who made it has so mcuh stuff in and theres a lot to explore and analyise. And this time I'm starting well in advance of myself, so on Tuesday I'm going to start getting books and see if I can get a hold of some of the films that Noel mentioned are incorporated - being The Searchers (which I don't like but will watch for theory sakes) and a couple of others and I'm going to put in 'The Magnificant Seven' cause I saw that the other day and it totally rocks. Seriously you want a western - out of the yanky ones - see that one cause it is so class and absoultely great. Ironically both films are quite long and slowish paced but they don't feel that long and hold you captivated for the whole thing. Probably Mamo will confirm that.

Kendo was pretty okay the other night, got to pratice Kata which was bloody helpful but need to do a lot of work on it but I should be able to hammer it nearer the time and sort it all out. Also finally got my tenauy to stay on my head and not blind me half-way through a pratice which is bloody good going. Poor Kal got a headache which is not the best thing for Kendo and had to put up practising Kirrykiash with the newbies who were being a bunch of noisy so-and-sos. Enshin was quite good and although I didn't win I was on better form than last week which made me feel better. And I was bouncing which made it better (I do my kendo best when I'm bouncing don't ask why I just do)

Works been okay, not too bad bar the bloody minuets line being down and telling customers no we do not have a clue when the bloody things coming back online and no we don't know if your going to get money back either cause we've not been told surprise surprise.

Anyway, the reason why my foots hurting is that I managed to scold it with boiling water from the kettle as I was making my parents a cup of tea cause we've been painting the living room today so that's a nice colour. Luckily I got my foot straight under the cold tap, then took them the tea and the second mam heard about it she had my foot drenched in freezing water so she was debating if I would get frost bite. It's okay but I've got to keep it steady for a while and make sure I don't knock it cause it hurts.

Anyway, going to go and play around now.

hope the "stuff which is not good" works out cool for you.

Oh.... and I liked the Searchers, but Magnificent Seven I thought was lacking compared with the original. I reckon if you're going to watch one, it's got to be The Seven Samurai which I thought was far superior to Magnificent Seven...
But westerns... hmm.... John Wayne has to feature, and though I liked Searchers, and really like Rio Bravo, I think my favourite Wayne is The Alamo. The Quick And The Dead has some big names in it and is done nicely. Certainly makes a nice change to have a strong female protagonist.
I guess you could kinda call Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid a western, but only just.
My top westerns however, just absolutely have to be, A Fistful Of Dollars (My favourite in the trilogy!), For A Few Dollars More, A Fistful Of Dynamite, The Good The Bad And The Ugly, and my absolute favourite, the epic, Once Upon A Time In The West.
