Another long update
Damn I hate long updates but nevermind. Here we go again
Tuesday - my full scripting day and to say interesting was not exactly the way to put it. Spent the morning going through the feature film ideas. Mines the last to go and next time I decide to base a film on anything I'm going to make sure in advance that people actually know the story of what I'm trying to pitch. Seriously trying to pitch a film based on Dr.Faust when no one in your class or the letcurer for that matter knows the story of Dr.Faust, it is interesting to say the very least. No one was really interested in Renegrade Angel till I mentioned the fact that God and the Devil were getting a divorse so now my film is based around that (with Judas being in charge of the Divorse court - courtesy of Becky). Still it's going to be fun and I got one of my quotes of the week from Peter (script dude) 'I would want to go and see this film...when it's made in 2010' which made me smile mucho, cause the others he hadn't really commented on. Strange though, me and David (a friend in the class) were the only ones to do stories that were not based in our time. Mines the eteral plain with religious aspects and thingys and his is a Roman one about a German man who stopped the Roman's invading Germany which sounds really good and has me mega interested.
The second letcure was about my five minuet script and Peter was happy with it, needed a couple of small things working on and I was amased to discover that one of my characters was actually based on my old Great-great Uncle Doug and I hadn't realised until Peter told me to drop a bit and I reflected that Uncle Doug wouldn't act that like. Mam recognised the character straight away when I told her about him on Friday which was strange. Heh I called my old guy Douglas in homage to him...I really need to see him again actually.
Also went shopping and bought Vol 3 of Vampire Game and From Far Away which I was mega mega chuffed with cause I've been after them for a little while and I swear I'm totally hooked on Vampire Game...there's only 14 vols confirmed and 15 on the way. Heh I've got time to play catch up though. Work was pretty usual with whingy customers aplenty. Came home, had tea and went to bed happily.
Wednesday - got up on time, went and filled up Jess as she was running low, gets into town and parked, goes into a arrange meeting with Samm (let) and spend two minuets with him and then come home. A bit of a waste of time but nevermind. Watched some TV, then came upstairs and did my homework of re-writing my five minuet script and getting research for my feature (had to create heaven and hell don't ask) and read my theory book.
Went to work and pretty bad night with people annoying me -as anyone on messenger would probably have heard. Came home, had tea, watched something or started watching something, came online and didn't get off till 1am. Not exactly the best thing in the world but well worth it. Went to bed afterwards.
Thursday - managed to get up and washed the cars with dad which was reasonable bar Dad decided to change one of the wiper blades on Jess which was fine bar I had a slight time sched to stick too and he was faffing on but I know it's just cause he cares. Get into Uni on time and sit through a lecture on Soviet Cinema, Documentary and Modernism which was quite interesting in a lot of ways and sorted out some of the text book stuff I had read up. Thank God for my Cinema Studies Key Concepts book.
Then sat through one of the strangest films I have sat through, typically it's Frech Surrealism and I'm not even going into it cause just thinking about it makes my head hurt. Don't get me wrong, Surrealism I'm all for and I think when it's done well it can be proative and thought provoking but will someone please tell me what the hell is going on beforehand? I know I'm a media student and I'm supposed to enjoy this sort of thing and to a certain degree I do but what the hell is going on and why has he just watched a lass get killed, then previously turned up in her clothes, tried to rape some woman, then kill a man who was found dead in the forest whilst she walks off down a beach happily with someone else....yeah you get the idea. Gah I'm going to stop worrying about that till Thursday next week.
Went to work and got annoyed at traffic cause people can't drive in the rain at all, prior I got another quote of the week from Noel (theory dude) 'Let's all sit in a Hippy circle and talk about this theory' which was really good and made things more fun to explore and critise. Work was reasonable and I forgot the manga's for Ahmed again which he nearly killed me for. Came home and I went through the usual routine and was online for a little while.
Friday - got up a little late and cleaned the top part of the house, then mooched cause I had done my homework and only had to argue with the printer three times to print off a little I had done. Yakacard on to mam when she got home and then went into town at six so I could go and post my homework through Peter's door and then go to kendo.
Kendo was really fun, turns out we have about ten-twelve new starters which is really cool and I got two classic quotes of the week from Hiya and Mark about my new red hair. Hiya-kun - 'Oh my god! It's wierd and red! It's not supposed to look like that! It's cool but it's still wierd' and Mark after doing a double take with a step back when he walked in and saw me 'Wow, you're red!'.
When they got over the fact that my hair was red, which knowing the kendo lot will take some time, we went through Kata pratice and I had to tell the kid I was facing to stop worrying about hurting me cause I'm a girl cause I was going to hit him back when he got to armour stage. Then we went into Enshin Shia (Piggy in the middle) and I faced Barry and Jane. I came out with my wrist a virtual bruise and killing like mad, my elbow stinging a little and a bright red and black bruise from Barry missing my men (head) and hitting me on the shoulder. Big Big Owwie but a hell of a lot of fun.
Went home and stayed up talking to Mam about stuff which was great cause we don't get to spend to much time together at the moment which is a shame. But it was great talking on. Mum went to pick up Dad and I had a shower and washed my hair again before going to bed.
Saturday - was up on time and got everything sorted. Went to work with the Manga's I was lending to Ahmed, the ones for Kal and the things I was returning to Mamo-chan that night. I forgot my lunch. Mum is kind and great enough to bring it into work for me which was a major help and I owe her one (I think I shall buy a book for her on Monday). Work was reasonable and I sat there doing my homework of writing Heaven and Hell (needs to be typed up) whilst listening to customers take a hissy fit over things that I could not do for them cause the system wouldn't allow me or that there was something stopping me and they're all acting like two year olds who have just had their favourite toy taken away and throwing tantrums.
Ahmed get's his Manga's Azumanga Diaoh as it happens and goes on about how he's going to be lonely and bored cause it's the teams night off (the full time workers that is). I point out that he has two manga's to read just as he clicks to it as well. We chat on for a little while and then I finish my shift and head off to town to go to the cinema. Kal looked really cool in the semi-gothic style and told me off for not turning up the same. So now I'm sworn to for Little Shop in November but I'm looking forward to it - I've got to have ribbons though otherwise she will kill me, might get a nice hair band or something.
Kamo and Hiya appeared and we then met up with Mamo-chan and we went and saw Corpse Bride which was really good and a lot of fun. Sudate by Burton's standards but with his usual array of dark humour and plot twists that make it a nice bitter sweet film and one I shall definately buy on DVD ^_^. Which makes three I shall be buying ^_^ Saw some cool trailers and I wanna see Narnia and HP4 cause they look great!
We had a good night out and lots of laughs and smiles which was even better. I drove Mamo and Kal home and got another quote of the week from both of them. Driving towards a round about the conversation went as such:
Mamo 'Straight over at the next round-about'
Me 'Okay'
Kal 'Well not straight over cause there's a big metal pole in the middle of it'
Mamo 'Well more around it then'
Kal 'Actually I can imagin Ryu going over the round about and just missing the big pole in the middle'
Mamo 'Yeah that would be sweet'
Mamo/Kal (can't quite remember who said it) 'I can imagin you as a Ralley Driver'
Me 'What? Hey my driving's not that bad!'
Kal 'No it's just we're imagining you missing the big pole in the centre of the roundabout'
I have strange friends.
Gets home and sorted out and goes to bed.
Sunday/today - get up when Dad yells at me that the Moto GP is on, watch the 125cc race and get a really bad headache so I go to my room to lie down and get rid of it and fall back asleep. Get woken up a second time by Dad to help mam out in the back garden and things are a bit scatty between the two of them. Help with getting the brambles chopped down and sorted before heading inside after mum tells me nicely to bugger off and leave her alone.
So I go in, make myself a sauage sandwich and watch the back-end of the Moto GP, Marco Maladri won and bless him he deserved it. He's never won a Moto GP class race and totally enjoyed it which was great. We then sat and watched Jarassic Park and Dad teased me about being scared of it, and hell yes I was terrified of it when I was seven and I still get the adrenerlin rush of fear over it cause it's a damn good movie. Amazingly though the bit with the raptor in the power box - when she turns on the electric fence - both my parents jump unexpectedly and I'm sitting there. I laugh my head off and tease them about it.
Then read Azumanga Dioah 4 to the end, don't know why I've been reading it recently but I just enjoy it and in a way I can see some of the bits in what we used to do - in a very odd way before anyone starts on me - so I think that's why I enjoy it. Had a bath and washed my hair, then had tea and watched the Moto GP race - we had not seen it earlier due to being out in the garden - and then followed it up with The Itlian Job and I'm so glad I did cause it's been a long long time since I actually watched it the whole way through. *starts singing 'We Are The Self Presentation Society' and wonders how many people will get annoyed at her for getting that song stuck in their heads*
After that I washed the dishes, put my tution fee payment form into my bank book to get paid tomorrow and then came online. Who this has taken me nearly an hour to do. Oh well, hopefull I'll update a bit more sporadically next week.

It was still a good night. And it was all Kitten (kal) the whole thing was her. Don't look at me. I'm innocent! :D
French surrealism is tough. Actually most surrealism is tough. Japanese is just confusing, American is just colourful, and Czech is actually really good.
I was embarassed today when I jumped 3 feet at a part in Gremlins..... for absolutely no reason. It wasn't scary or anything.... just jumped. I'll never live it down.
Still didn't pick up that stuff from you! lol
Interesting post though... *wanders off whistling The Self-Preservation Society*
